It has been a year since Bella came to live with us — she was still in a relationship with Edward who now uses the front door for once, Bella's injuries had fully healed to the point that she didn't need a cast anymore. She even took me out to the parks and walks, our bond had become stronger than ever. She even let me sleep right next to her on her pillows, which would ended up with her cleaning her bed.
Anyways today was Bella's birthday — so Charlie took me and Lola out shopping to grab a birthday card for her, well Lola picked it out I just picked a envelope. I woke to the sound of knocking on Bella's door, my tail wag on the bed that created a thud as I saw Bella waking up.
I lick her nose in which I received a scratch on my neck, the door opens as Charlie and Lola step inside. I chuckle as I saw Lola wearing a birthday party hat, "Happy birthday." Charlie greeted with a smile.
Bella clicks her tongue, "I thought we agreed, no presents."
"Well, the one from me's not wrapped, so it doesn't count." He handed her a camera with a simple bow that sat on top of it, he then handed her a thin envelope. "And this is from the dogs, Lola picked the car and Artemis picked the envelope."
Bella opens the card that read:
To Bella,
Happy birthday from the cutest furry friends!

Bella chuckle as she clearly notice that it was Charlie who wrote it for us — I gave her a lick on her temple. "Thank you Art and Lola, that's very considerate of you guys." She told us, she then place the card on the dresser.
"It goes with this one from your mom. We coordinated. Well, she coordinated me. It's to put your pictures in from senior year." Charlie told her as she handed her the other gift, he then sigh. "Senior year. How'd you get so old so fast?"
"I didn't. It's not that old." She replied. I could see her getting anxious about her age, I'm almost three years old and I wasn't worried about my age.
"I don't know. Is that a gray hair?" Charlie teased as he reaches for her hairline.
I let out a yip as I saw Bella's eyes widen at that, "No. No way." She jump from her bed and towards the mirror.
Charlie held up his hands in surrender, "Happy birthday."
Bella sighed, "That's really funny."
Charlie then left us alone for Bella to get dressed, Bella then grab her camera and aimed it at me. I stood tall and proud as the flash blind my eyes for a second. "Hmm, we're doing a soldier pose now huh?" She questioned.
I panted as she place a kiss on my head before she lead me out of her room so she could change.

Today at work I watch the newest K-9 members train with the handlers, I then look at Lola who was playing with others dogs. "Hey Art!" I heard someone say. I look to see the twins coming towards me.
"Hey." I greeted them.
"Happy birthday to your Bella." Hansen said.
I chuckle, "Yeah thanks."
"So when is your third birthday?" Drake ask.
"In two months." I just replied, me and the boys took a walk through the training ground. "Lola will be leaving us soon." I told them.
"Yeah, we know." Hansen spoke up.
"Does Charlie know when?" Drake asked me.
"Next month." I replied. Sure I'll be sad but I least I know that she'll be okay and be with a loving family that'll give her the attention she deserved.
Then I saw a grey blur of something running through the forest — I wasn't sure what it was but I just chalked it up to just a deer probably. But it was too fast to be a deer.
