CASSIUS WAS STILL RECOVERING. Nearly getting kidnapped by a bunch of crazy cultists in a way was something he did not want to experience.
He was walking, following the soft calming words than sang through his ears. Keep going forward. It willed, it urged him to keep waddling forwards.
He was quietly walking when the voice tolled him to stop and keep quiet. Cassius knew that never meant anything he would want to be caught listening to, he pulled his hood up and hid in a bush.
Two people, both incredibly short compared to Cassius. A blond girl and a blond boy, the boy had a scar down his eye. "Annabeth." The boy said.
"Me and Clarisse have been going through the labyrinth, she doesn't expect a thing. I'm going to get a prophecy today, hopefully I can lead this quest." Annabeth, Cassius assumed, was the girl.
"And remember, don't let anyone know you are working with us." Blond boy said. Annabeth curtsied. "Yes Luke."
Luke then walked away. Come out, reveal yourself. The voice said, he warily stepped out of the bushes and walked forward, acting as if he didn't hear anything.
The girl stared at him, confused and rather worried. "Who are you? How much did you hear?" She demanded, her hand going to her side.
Cassius was going to play dumb, her hand being on her side meaning she had a weapon. He was not dealing with a crazy weapon wielder that's talking to some short ass Sandy blond hair guy named Luke. "Hear what?" He asked, trying to make it so his voice didn't crack and he would start laughing.
The girl visibly calmed, her hand dropped to her side, no longer resting on her weapon. "Who are you?" She asked, less wary. Cassius felt a grin form on his face. He slowly walked up to her.
He went to her ear. "I can't tell you that, Annabeth Chase, Greek, Daughter of Athena." He whispered, it must've sent shivers down her spine. His hand moved to her side, and he had her sheathed weapon in his palms.
"How do you know my name?" She demanded. Trying to find her knife to no luck.
"Looking for this?" He taunted, spinning her knife around like a butterfly knife. "I know everything, kid. Don't fuck with me." He grinned and began walking past her.
She was slowly processing that. He made his way up the hill. Careful. The voice warned, he looked to see a pine tree. When he looked at the roots it seemed uneven, like something once there had vanished.
He jumped completely over them all. And began sticking t6o the shadows. He made sure nobody was around and went for it. He sprinted to what the girl called the labyrinth and fell on the ground in it.
Not face down just fell onto the ground. He slowly got up and looked around. "Okay what the fuck?" He wondered. He took out a flashlight and used the light to guide his way throughout.
Forwards, to your left side. It's a place where some kid has set up a little safe spot. The voice said, he went to his side and turned off the flashlight. Turn right. He did so, and walked through what he thought was a wall.
He walked straight through it and ended up in front of an emo kid. The kid had black hair that looked like he just got out of bed (messy and shaggy), his skin seemed to have paled to white, and he takes to wearing black clothing with skeletal designs. "Who are you?" He asked.
"Caesar. Cassius Caesar." Cassius said as if it was the most thing ever.
"Do you work for Luke?" He asked. Cassius stared blankly at him. "Who? That weird short ass mf with a scar?" Cassius asked, needing clarification.
