☆A/N : This chapter contains light cursing, hospital themes, mentions of car crashes, and very vague murder references. Sorry if it's not too good/well written, I really wanted to get it written out but my schedule has been ass lately. ☆

The car shook and bounced as I drove, potholes littering the road ahead of me. With the windows down, I could smell the familiar burnt rubber scent that usually permeated the asphalt, gasoline and newfound heat. I felt my heart pound in my chest, adrenaline tainting every fake breath I took. I stepped on the brakes, the car slowing down just a bit, just enough not to crash. I turned the wheel, heading into the parking lot, and then into one of the spots closer to the door. I shut down the engine, pulling my keys out of the little slot beside the wheel. I stepped out of the vehicle, locking the door. Ch-click. I walked past the trimmed bushes and decorative trees I ignored before, everything feeling just a little bit brighter. The smell of rain was replaced with bitter antiseptic, and something clean and sweet as I got under the medical marquee, and into the facility.

Ding.

Stepping inside, the secretary looked up at me. She pushed up her glasses before giving a tired smile,

"Morning Y/N," she greeted, "I see you got here safe."

"Yeah, yeah- I came here as fast as I could," I looked around, "Where are-"

"Adam and Jonah are still in their rooms, probably getting ready to go." She cut me off, "Feel free to go get them."

"Yeah, okay!" I gave a small wave, "Thanks-"

I heard her mutter something under her breath as I ran to the elevator, though I couldn't make it out. Probably something about not wanting to see me again. I hurriedly stepped between the elevator doors, pressing the button for the second floor a few times before they squealed shut. My hands wandered back to my pockets, fingers toying with lint balls and random papers, small photographs removed with exacto-knives and trinkets found in the two's car. Little memories that reminded me of everything important. The time I met two strangers in a convenience store, when we survived that nightmare of a house together, becoming closer in the process. All of it. When the doors opened I walked out, making a sharp left turn and walking down the hallway, going right up to their door.

I knocked before coming in, fumbling, fabric-ey sounds coming from inside. The doorknob clicked as I pushed it open, the old hinges making a quiet squeaking sound, I stepped into the room, walking around the corner to the two beds and my two friends. Jonah was facing away from me, putting on a shirt over the brace wound tightly around his lower back, while Adam, on crutches, was getting his few things together. His eyes locked with mine before giving a short, upwards nod and shooting a look to Jonah, making the other realize I was there.

Jonah turned, painfully, to look at me, I heard him wince, before his tired eyes met mine.

"Hey Y/N," Jonah smiled,

"Hey guys," I looked between them both, "How's it goin'?"

"It's... okay I guess," Adam shrugged,

Jonah stretched, looking at Adam with a slightly concerned, yet playful look. "Weren't you the one just saying how-"

"Shut up-" he cut him off right away. "I told you I didn't want- nevermind."

Jonah nervously chuckled, a frustrated glare from Adam leaving me with more questions than answers. Was Adam okay? What were they talking about? Jonah seems fine at least.... I didn't know who to help, if either of them at all.

"...Well... you guys ready to go?"

They shared a glance, before kinda nodding and looking back to me,
