As Simon clicked the door shut GC turned around and began her way over to Harper, gesturing in a less specific area to suggest Harper might spend a night or two- if his parents allowed. After all, he was the son of the priest to the church her and Karl had rather destroyed in their daring attempt to free her from Robin's immoral grasp.

"Oh sure! I don't entirely wish to be home at the moment anyways- my father is unusally upset right now about the church. It seems some wanker broke one of the stained glass windows." Haper accepted, only just taking notice that both GC and Karl tensed up at the mention of the church-

"Uhm- that might have been... us." Karl admitted, not bothering to fight with GC about how she openly invited ANOTHER person to stay in Karl's home without his permission.

"WHAT?! Oh my lord above- what happened!?" Harper spat out, the previous confused expression had now returned to his lifeless face.

"Well, it's sort of a lengthy story- why don't we go sit down on the sofa and I'll explain as best I can." Karl spoke with an exasperated sigh, walking over to the couch and sitting down- watching as both Harper and Garbadge Child followed, taking their own respective seats. Garbadge Child sat on the couch with Karl while Harper had chosen to sit on the arm chair adjacent from him and the little girl.

"Okay well here's the story, I don't know entirley know how it started but I do know that as I was taking a midnight stole about a month ago and I heard someone screaming from inside your father's church- it was GC," Karl began to explain, wishing GC could tell him what events happened that lead up to when Karl found her. But of course she couldent- though this could have awnser Harper's previous question about Garbadge Child's voice.

"Well she apparently had been trapped inside by this odd looking young man- the only way for me to get her out unharmed was by breaking in..." Karl finished his shortened explanation with a guilty expression spread across his pale, lifeless, face.

"Uhm, well- I suppose if you must you must. However, you should have called the authorities instead..." Harper spoke unenthusiasticly, desperately trying to think of a way to tell his father that wouldent further upset him.

"Oh but you mustn't tell! We could get in serious trouble or worse- beheaded." Karl exlaimed, seemingly reading Harpers very thoughts- though, not being very trusting, and staying at the ready to jump up from his seat at any given moment.

"Alright‐ but I don't know how long I can lie about this..." Harper agreed. To this comment Garbadge Child had rolled her eyes, slinking back in her seat with a huff as she did so.

"It's not lieing, it's just not comming foward with the truth-?" Karl poorly tried to ease Harpers doubts about keeping such a thing from his father, ignoring GC's annoyance with her friend.

"Still..." Harper doubted his decisions, noticing Karl had hopped up from his seat on the sofa beside Garbadge Child and ran to the window- throwing the curtains open. To this notion GC hopped up aswell, though she seemed- worried? This confused Harper as he also rose from his seat to see what the two were fussing about.

"GC look! It's completely dark out and it's not even night! The clouds are so dense they've blocked out the sun- I've only seen this happen once befor! It must be a gift from God!" Karl rushed his words excitedly as he ran to the front door, hastily throwing it open recklessly and dashing outside- basking in the clouds undaunted shade from the sun gaze that made his skin sizzle and pop.

"A gift from God? Whatever do you mean?" Harper inquired, being completely ignored as Garbadge Child followed closley behind the young boy Karl, of whom had already dashed out into the street in a fit of joyousness.
