Always and forever [5 years]

I just wanted to say before I start I will be doing kind of Noco through the years. This will be when they are 5 at the moment and the last was when they were 4!

CODY POV

Me and Noah had been best friends for a year now! He had helped me with work which made me even smarter than before!

Being Noah's friend has changed my life and now we have regular play dates and even our parents got along somehow!

Today I arrived on my first day in Kindergarten, I was so nervous but knew Noah would be there! We would have new kids joining although sadly I'll miss some of the others who moved away!

I walked in juice box in hand ready for what was about to come, I greeted Noah and sat down next to him on the reading carpet. Noah had a book in his hand which was quite large if I'm honest.

He was 3 reading age years above me which was so unfair! My favourite book was The Very Hungry Caterpillar and he was reading some book about Dogs as people!

As we were discussing books laughing at mine (rude) our new teacher walked in. He looked pretty scary so I grabbed Noah's hand as i trembled in fear, his hand was clammy and I could tell even he was nervous!

The teacher introduced himself as Mr McLain. He was old, around in his late 30's with black hair, a stubble beard and a creepy smile that stretched up to his eyes almost. He looked evil almost, this year was going to be a long one!

"We will be learning about maths first of all!" The teacher exclaimed as everyone including Noah groaned. I looked at him and he turned to me giggling maniacally.

"I already know my maths up to 20 he thinks I'm stupid!" He laughed and I just sat there confused. I only knew up to 5 how was he so smart! "You have to teach me Noah!" I exclaimed smiling at him. His face broke out into a grin as we shook hands.

"You gap toothed kid and tanned kid! Shut your traps or I'll have to put you in time out!" Mr McLain shouted angrily.

I looked at Noah with tears in my eyes as he squeezed my hand for reassurance.

NOAH POV

Our new teacher seemed quite strict by the way he spoke to me and Cody, he made Cody cry! I hated seeing the sad look on Cody's face and stood up.

"Why do you have to bully kids instead of bullying people your own size of XXXL?" I asked crossing my arms in a huff.

Mr McLain looked taken aback, his brows furrowed as he shouted angrily and sent me to time out. I didn't care, he couldn't scare me.

At snack time I was finally let out of time out and got to sit down with Cody, Izzy, Owen and these two new kids, Eva and Sierra. They both seemed nice enough. I put my banana down as I sat next to Cody hugging him.

Eva and Izzy exchanged looks but I didn't think anything of it. Probably girly stuff?

Sierra seemed obsessed with Cody but in a friendly way - hopefully. We didn't need another Harold following us around like a lost little puppy.

Eva seemed angry all the time, only softening up when speaking to us which was a bonus. She was even stronger than Duncan, she beat him in an arm wrestle in gym class! The look on Duncan's face was priceless.

I was liking Kindergarten so far except for the old mean teacher we now had for a year. Eva had the same troubles with this teacher and literally wanted to crush the poor dude.

As we were talking Izzy piped in "oo! You guys should totally try push his buttons! We all want him gone and hopefully with Noah's sarcasm and your strength Eva we can make him quit!" Izzy came up with some funny ideas but it was worth a try.

Eva nodded but I was still mad about apparently being sarcastic in Izzy's eyes.

"Hey I'm not sarcastic crazy woman!" I retorted, Cody laughed and smiled widely showing his tooth gap - hopefully that thing grew in soon or he'd get bullied.

"Yes you are your always mean but in a funny way!" Izzy said smiling. I mean at least it wasn't that bad.

CODY POV

As I watched them argue I giggled along. Noah was super silly and Izzy seemed crazy! I loved my new friends.

Once we sat back down after snack time Mr McLain got out the art supplies for us to do some drawing. I looked at the pencils expecting something colourful but they were all either dull or broken. I couldn't colour in Iron Man with a burgundy pencil that would be criminal!

Eva looked like she was having the same problem and smashed her fist against the table startling me. She made her way over to Mr McLain, I knew something was about to go down.

"What's this?" She half shouted pointing to her broken pencils. Mr McLain looked unfazed "if you break them I'm not replacing them," he stated while shrugging.

"I NEED MY COLOURED PENCILS!" Eva shouted and Mr McLain looked shocked. As Eva started screaming at him I almost saw a tear fall down his cheek! Me and Noah high-fived as Eva was sent to the principal for biting Mr McLain - worth it.

This was one of the best days ever! Soon enough the next week Mr McLain left to do some TV show and we had a new teacher. Thank god!

I was loving spending my time with my friends Izzy, Owen, Eva and weirdly Sierra. Although, Noah was still my bestest friend and I was his too!
