...a lot of people were gathered. I looked at Mark with questionable eyes but then a deafening bang reached my ears as the firework exploded and scattered thousands of tiny sparks into the sky.
I couldn't help but smile as I looked at the sky. I felt Mark's hand reaching toward my small waist. I turned my face to the side smiling at him. "Do you know how much I have waited for this time?" I felt tears forming in my eyes as I knew what was coming next. Only if I knew this was meant for me after all those miserable years I would gladly live all those years again. "I knew that you liked me even when we were ten. I loved to see you blushing whenever I would tease you. I loved how you hated me the most but always defended me in front of everyone when I wasn't around. I am glad that you came into my life and taught me that it has some meaning. I will always love you Haelynn and I promise to be here for you even if it costs my own life."
The feeling flashed through me that he loves me too. I felt something in my heart that I had only read about in books. Everyone beside us seemed to just disappear. "I love you too more than I love myself. Thank you for being there for me, for being the reason why I am still living through this life." I smiled widely at him tears rolling down my cheek
He pulled me closer to himself and leaned in. As his soft lips touched my lips I felt like I was levitating. As if he had sucked all the air around us. I kissed him back as our bodies pressed together.
All the moments that I used to once daydream about were finally becoming true. It felt euphoric.
He pulled back from the kiss and his eyes traveled to my eyes, none of us wanting to look away as the voices of fireworks and people's cheering rang in our ears.
I hope I get to spend my whole life with you.
