When I was a little girl, whenever I would get mad, someone would die. I was labeled as a witch who could control blood. Who could make anyone in the world die the minute she doesn't like you? But nobody mentioned that she didn't want to hurt anyone. She's hated the 'gift' she had all her life. It ruined friendships and relationships with her. She never could live a normal life. But with Adam, everything seemed normal. He was perfect in every way possible. He made me feel special but something felt off about it. But I still had decided I was going to give my virginity to him. To the King of Death. But then he disappeared the next day. I looked everywhere. I would have given it a possibility that he had left if I didn't find blood all over his chair and his office was a mess. I couldn't find his body though. I saw blood and that was it. The minute I saw blood I became enraged, my entire vision became as red as the blood in his office. I was angry. I was going to kill anybody who even was remotely involved in Adam's disappearance. I was going crazy without him. My heart was telling me that he was gone but it also said we had to find him. So after that, I became the Queen of Death.

Three months later and I still can't find him. I've killed off more than half his workers and even more not just to find him. But none gave me any useful information just a bunch of bullshit saying,

"It's for the good of the world." So I killed them. At that moment, I was working on a project that Adam was working on before he disappeared. I know he wouldn't like me like this because of him. But I need him. Then my Second in Command came in.

"Boss, we've gotten another clue on where the King is." He said with a shaky voice afraid I was going to kill him if he got me angry. Which I probably would have. I looked blankly at him.

"Well, spit it out." I snarled at him. He started shaking and started trying to get out what he had in his back pocket. It was a picture. Adam was tied up in a dark room. He looked broken and helpless. He was naked and cold. You could see that he hadn't been in the sun with how gray his skin looked.

"Where is he? How recent is this photo? Where did you get this?" I questioned.

"I don't know ma'am, the photo is a few days old, and the dark web ma'am." He answered with no filter. I was furious that those idiots on the dark web had lied to me and I will track every single one of them down for that.
"Start looking for him and leave," I said coldly. My eyes held no emotion whatsoever. He scrambled to get out, accidentally leaving the picture of Adam. There was a shadow in the background. A man with a crown on his head and a scythe in his hand. He looked like the true King of Death. But it couldn't be, right? Adam was my soulmate. Another knock on my door came. One of the guards I had outside the door had walked in.

"Ma'am there is someone here to speak with you about the King." He said. I stiffened and said to let him in. He came in. This man was even better looking than Adam was. He was tall, maybe 6'2. He towered over my 5'1 frame. I stood up and walked towards the man.

"Please have a seat," I said to the man. He nodded and sat down. I sat in the office chair across from him. The same one that had Adam's blood all over it.

"I heard you found a picture of Adam." He cleared his throat. That fast, really?

"Is he alive?" He asked lowly. He looked like he was genuinely concerned for the love of my life. But then again he could be an imposter and not truly care. But when I looked into his eyes, my heart just melted. They were the same color blue as my own eyes. Lighter in the center of the iris and darker on the rims. He had a chiseled face. Like he was sculpted by God himself. His lips stayed in a frown the entire time I looked at him. When he noticed me staring, his lips curved into a smirk.

"He's alive but he's not doing so hot." His smirk faded for a minute, almost like he wanted him dead. Then his eyes lit up when he noticed me staring at him again.
