love isn't enough ✸ obsession is enough─────────────────────────────
THE SUN WAS SHINING THROUGH HER CURTAINS... it was a perfect day, she thought to herself when waking up to inhale the fresh air. her step had a bit of spring to it as (y/n) walks to the bathroom for her morning routine.
(y/n) woke up with a huge burst of positive energy because of the blind date from last night.
she drummed her fingers onto the kitchen table, preparing herself a bowl of cereal before settling down at the couch.
NO SIGNAL. . .
She stood up to look at the red-blinking wifi box as her brows arched in perplexity.
'IS THE WIFI OFF?'
the sounds of her ringing caught her attention as she immediately picked up the phone and answered it, saying "helloooo?" as she worked to fix the wifi box.
her best friend's voice could be heard saying, "hey, pretty," as well as, "are you watching the news right now?" on the other side of the call.
"no... why?" (y/n)'s stomach churned while she asked her best friend that question. she felt her heart skipped a beat. "what happened?"
"authorities found a dead body right behind the cafe you were last night at the blind date with oliver"
(y/n) asks yet again, "do they know who the body belongs to?" her breath becomes slightly labored.
her best friend responds, "nope, they haven't identified the body at all since their face was badly beaten," she lets out a heavy sigh before saying.
"i'm just glad you're okay."
(y/n) hums softly as she continues to fix her wifi box
the girl on the other end of the phone abruptly changes the subject, "anyways, did you to talk to oliver? tell me everything!"
"no, i haven't texted him yet" (y/n) sits down on her couch and looks at her data bar, saying, "my wifi is off plus, my data is at the last bar, i could barely hear you." a faint knock on her door caught her attention.
"i'll call you back later." (y/n) quickly hangs up the phone with her friend as she opens the door and sees her neighbor standing on her porch.
