"I told you all we should have kept to the steelwork building, but no! We just had to come live with these people and enter school and all that!" Billy spat at them. The older kids were huddled  in the back yard of the Byers' house. The younger kids were a little ways out playing their own version of soccer.

"How were we supposed to know this was going to happen?" Nancy asked, crossing her arms over her chest. Billy narrowed his eyes.

"Because we're still too close to the lab! That's why! We should have kept moving. Get somewhere far away from this place so we didn't have another run in with them." Billy told them.

"Well it's too late for that. We'll have to suck it up and face them. We're not going to be scared off by a couple of ugly goons." Steve stated to them.

"They're not just any goons, Steve. They're armed and dangerous." Nancy reminded them.

"So are we!" Robin said, "May I remind you all we have powers and they merely have guns. We could take them on."

"Yeah-- but then the town would probably find out about us and they would fear us... worst, they'll probably spread word so it would be near impossible for us to live anywhere near here." Jonathan claimed to them.

"But they read those comic books about people like us." Eddie said.

"Yeah, but those are fictional books. Those characters aren't real. I doubt they would be happy if they were to find out there are mutants that exist." Nancy claimed to them. Eddie pouted before leaning against the house, peering over Billy to keep an eye on the kids.

"Has anyone seen more monster sightings?" Robin asked them.

"Shit, I almost forgot about that creature is roaming around. I haven't seen any sightings have you?" Jonathan said.

"That is strange," Nancy spoke, "It just attacks Will and El one time and then goes into hiding."

"Perhaps it is waiting to attack again?" Steve suggested to them.

"No, a monster like this surely would have already attack. Especially since it seems to be a carnivore, it would need to keep hunting for food." Nancy suggested to them, "Maybe we can go searching for out there to try and find it."

"Are you nuts?" Eddie asked her while he pushed himself off the house.

"Well-- we can't let this thing roam around here! We should be doing what we can to get rid of that thing." Nancy told them.

"Why? You know just because we have powers, do not mean we have to be superheroes." Eddie stated. Nancy shot him a dirty look.

"Perhaps, but given the fact that creature tried to take Will and El, I would think we would do anything to stop it from trying that again." Nancy explained to him. Eddie looked away to hide his shame.

"But we wouldn't even know where to start." Steve pointed out.

"This creature is a type of animal... so it could be out in the woods somewhere. Will did say how on the way home, that was where they first saw the creature. And that road is near the woods." Nancy suggested to them.

"Yeah-- but El said when it attacked, it came out of the wall and then it vanished back into the wall." Jonathan brought up.

"Okay so-- hey! Are you guys done playing?" Nancy cut off when she saw the kids making their way towards them.

"We had a thought. Remember the steelwork building?" Dustin asked them.

"Sure." Billy said.

"We were thinking maybe we could make it into an emergency shelter." Dustin suggested to them.

"Yeah! Like a hideout." El cheered.

"I don't know--" Jonathan mumbled.

"Actually, that isn't a bad idea." Nancy pointed out, "It would be a great thing to have a backup place."

"Nancy's got a point. Especially with the risk of those scientists hunting us down. We would want to have another place to go." Robin agreed.

"Lets wait until those people come and interview us before we go into the woods. Especially with that creature on the loose." Steve suggested to them.

"Where do you think that creature is?" Will ask, nervously.

"I'm not sure. But it won't get anywhere near you guys again." Jonathan promised them.

"How do you know?" El asked. Nancy reached out and pulled El to her side and gently hugged her.

"You're right. We don't know when it would attack, but you can bet someone will be here with you kids to make sure it won't get at you." Nancy assured them.

"Exactly what would that be?"

Everyone turned their attention to see a group of adults dressed in suits standing behind them. It didn't take long for them to know that it was the scientists, who were wanting to talk to them.
