"You're staring again." Jenny broke out of her trance, frowning at her fellow art club member, Delilah. "If you like him so much then just tell him." The blonde girl raised an eyebrow with a teasing smirk. "Or maybe I can for yo— "

"No!" Jenny snapped, "That'll make things awkward and he won't know how to act with me and there goes our lifelong friendship."

"Oh please, how can anyone not like a sweetheart like you." Cole said, wrapping an arm around Jenny as she glanced back at Ben who was practicing Soccer with the rest of his team as her club were outside practicing drawing scenery.

"I don't see why you're so scared of vice pres." Tina, pushing away her green hair from her face as she continued to sketch the daisies, crinkled her nose in disapproval. "You're way out of his league. You're pretty and smart. You were like, everyone's childhood crush."

"That's not true." Jenny objected. "Ben gets a lot more attention than I do."

"You have a lot of friends."

"Acquaintances, and it's just exchanging polite small talk."

"You're clearly popular. You could be like, in the same league as the cheerleaders." Delilah reasoned. "But you spend your time with the rest of us art nerds."

"That's because I'm an art nerd too."

"Please honey, you think we didn't notice you sketching loverboy instead of what we were supposed to draw?" Cole rolled his eyes, glancing at Jenny's sketchbook which went from flowers to Ben in his soccer uniform. "You're so in love it's disgusting."

"I'm not that in love."

"It's like that song," Delilah started trying to remember. "Best friend by Jason Chen," Jenny looked away, frowning as she hid her flustered state.

"Aww look she's all red now." Cole teased, Jenny was about to snap back at him before noticing Ben who waved at her with the dopey grin she seems to be so infatuated with as she sheepishly waved back.

"Can you feel the loooove tonight?" Delilah whispered in her ear.

"I'm done with you guys." Jenny shoved Diliah away.

"Yeah right, you love us."

| THREE YEARS LATER |

Jenny was up bright and early, excitedly getting dressed as Ben ruffled in their shared (originally his) bed, watching her confused.

"Where're you going?" Ben yawned, pulling the comforter up.

"Planning to run some errands with a rookie Plumber," Jenny vaguely explained, going back to kiss his forehead. "I'll be back home for lunch."

"Isn't today a day off?"

"Yesterday technically, I had promised I'd be available today."

"Get me a smoothie on your way home?"

"Sure, Love you."

"Love you too,"

Jenny left, shutting the door as she checked her text to see Zander had already got to the house she hopped onto her Tenn-Speed, quickly making her way to the house.

"Sorry, I'm late, slept in a bit," Jenny said, hopping off.

"Do not worry, you had quite a large ordeal the other day."

"Hopefully things calmed down with Albedo locked up once more,"

"May we?" Zander opened the door wide, stepping to the side to let Jenny go in first.
