FELLING THE POWER

I can't stop eating, How the heck did I get into this mess? While I was chowing down, I couldn't help but think about the good old days when I was happy with my relationship with Alex. We used to throw awesome parties with my friends. And now, it all feels like it's gone. I got frustrated, and it felt like I lost control of myself. I started sensing and understanding the pain, the thoughts, the dreams inside the cops' heads. It was like I could make them believe things that weren't real or just didn't exist. So, I used my powers to make them think it was all in their heads.
Cop 1:What's going on, man?
Cop 2: What the heck was that?
Cop 3: Did you see what I saw?
All of them: The girl.
Cop 2: Maybe it's nothing.
Cop 1: No way, we gotta check this out.
Cop 3: Come on, let's not blow this out of proportion.
Beth:wow it worked!!!
Cop 1: By the way, I'm Jason. As you can see, I always try to do my best in my job, But when I saw what just happened, I started having doubts.I recognize that these are vampire powers.
(Now, you might be wondering who this guy is. Well, I didn't know he'd be back in town, so... he's an old friend.My family likes him,he's a cool guy,but his only flaw is that he's mad curious,always looking  for answers,Dude just can't chill,and you know what they say,curiosity kills.)
I remember our little group,Olivia,Beth,John and me,so my first thought is to talk to Olivia.
I'm hiding behind a tree, waiting to catch a glimpse of Olivia. A group of friends stood in front of me, chatting about this and that. One guy even had a bouquet of flowers, probably for his girlfriend. I spotted Olivia, but now's not the time. She's with Beth, and I know she won't be thrilled to see me.
Alex's Friend: Hey, there she is, Go on, say hi.
At that moment, I learned she has a boyfriend. But the bigger question was, did her family know? I had a hunch they wouldn't be thrilled about Beth dating a 'regular' guy. The guy made his move towards her, and I took that opportunity to chat with his friend.
Jason: Hey there.
Friend of Alex: Hey, what's up? Who are you?"
Jason: Mind if I chat with you for a sec?
Friend of Alex: Sure thing, what's on your mind?
Jason: Who's the guy over there with the girl?
Friend of Alex: Oh, I get it now. That's my buddy Alex, and she's Beth, his girlfriend.
Jason: Hmm.
Friend of Alex: Something wrong? You got your eye on her or something? Haha.
Jason: Nah, not at all. Well, I'll catch you later, buddy.
Friend of Alex: Sounds good. See you around.
-As I began to gather my thoughts, a voice whispered in my ear.
You're not supposed to be here, Jason... Go, and never return to this town.
I whipped around, searching for the source of the voice, but there was no one in sight. My heart pounded in my chest as I scanned the area. Then, I locked eyes with Beth, and to my shock, her eyes were a fiery shade of red...
