Who Are You?

I can't tell you how long I was out of it, truth is I don't know how long I was out. I didn't know if I was still out of it and just hallucinating. As my vision blurred and my eyes were focusing in and out, I felt weightless. I tried to focus on my surroundings, but it was difficult with how much blood loss I had, and how much poison was in my system. The rooftop of the thick black Oak trees of the Hollow Woods passed by overhead. I was being taken somewhere. Only moments later did I hear a voice:

???: "Hey! Stay with me! You're going to be okay just stay with me a little longer!"

The voice sounded soft, sweet, kind even. I heard monstrous growls and hisses behind us. As I focused a bit better, I could hear hissing, screeching, and sounds of monsters I had never seen before. My head was still spinning, I was going to pass out again. Before I passed out, I saw the face of the woman who was carrying me. Just before blacking out, the woman turned a full 180, knelt down while holding onto me with one hand, and with here other hand she spoke in a language I didn't understand as a bright blinding light was expelled from her hand. In my blurry vision, I saw what looked to be like demons or shadow creatures fleeing for their lives. The woman took no hesitation in picking me back up and running through the forest. I blacked out shortly after.

When I came to I was on the floor, a pillow under my head and a blanket draped over me. I was in someone's Victorian style living room with a fireplace. Someone had set the fire going, probably to keep me warm. I felt something cold on my forehead as I reached up and removed a wet washcloth. As I sat up I felt no pain. My vision had returned to normal thankfully. Before I could get up I heard the voice of an angel.

???: "Finally awake I see, I almost thought I'd Lost you."

I turned around to see a young woman no older than 20 sitting behind me. Her eyes where a gorgeous blue, her skin a creamy caramel color, and her hair was a fiery orange. I knew this woman, I had seen her a couple times in council meetings. She was always quiet, and I had never met her directly before. "Who are you?" I asked groggily.

Kisha: "I'm the woman who just saved your life, but you may call me Kisha."

it took me a second to realize what she was talking about. "The poison-" I began before she cut me off.

Kisha: "Already taken care of."

???: "Thank you Kisha, I owe you my life."

Kisha: "You should be more careful, be mindful of your surroundings, especially in a fight Princess."

"You know who I am?" I asked confused.

Kisha just laughed: "Of course Liyna, daughter of the Theodulf tribe."

"But how-" She cut me off again.

Kisha: "Honey I know a great many things, you pick up a few things when you live as long as I have."

At first I began to think she was talking nonsense until I remembered my blurry vision last night. The light she expelled from her hand to protect me.

"You're a witch!" I gasped in disbelief.

Kisha: "Yes, yes I am. Surprised?"

"Yes! I didn't know any witches lived near Celestial Pines."

Kisha: "I used to live in Celestial Pines. I was your father's personal witch consultant. When the central tribe fell I had to leave, forced to run from my home same as you."

" How'd you find me?" I asked confused.

Kisha: "I too was forced to go to the only place no one would dare to look, Hollow Woods. Did you know these woods aren't just a good hiding spot or even training spot for Lycans, but it's a hot spot for magic as well?"

"These woods are magical?"

Kisha: "Of course dearie, there's magic all around us all the time. But this forest radiates magical properties. As to your other question I've been keeping an eye on you for Jakx while he's away."

"You know where my brother is?! I havent seen him in-"

Kisha: "-2 and a half months, I know." she said cutting me off again.

I glared at her a little irritated.

Kisha: she just laughed and said, "I'm sorry, I'm so used to living alone I tend to forget that not everyone is keen to like witches. Let alone one who knows you better than you know yourself." She said smiling.

"Where the hell is Jakx?! He's been nowhere around when I actually needed him!" I snarled back.

Kisha: "Easy girl, If you give me the chance to explain, I'll explain that too." she said, easing my mind with just a few words.

"Why did you save me?"  I asked in a concerned tone.

Kisha: "Would you have rather I left you to die?" She asked.

"No I am glad you saved my life, but these days I don't trust anyone does anything out of the kindness of their hearts." I replied.

Kisha: "Let's just say our interests align. You have a huge destiny laid out before you and you don't even know it yet." Kisha said ominously.

"What destiny?" I asked.

"Your destiny is to take back your family's legacy." Kisha replied.

"How am I supposed to take back my family legacy when Jakx is god knows where!" I replied frustratedly.

"Jakx is busy tracking leads and spying on Central Pines. Jakx has been running intel operations, Celestial Pines has gotten worse than when you last were there. They have a new True Alpha, and he wasn't voted in either. Your uncle Balthazaar Theodulf rules the tribes like a dictator, massing armies for war, locking up anyone who even speaks kindly of you and your brother claiming them to be allies of traitors." Kisha replied in a serious tone.

"I thought only the strongest Alpha can be True Alpha?" I asked confused.

"Under normal circumstances and traditionally yes. Balthazaar doesn't see tradition, when a new challenge day came to replace the lost Alpha Balthazaar didn't just beat them, he showed no mercy. He humiliated them and anyone who resisted or fought back was slaughtered, the lucky ones were imprisoned. Your uncle has no heart for the people, taxes are going up and the number of homeless and traitors continues to rise. You need to be prepared Liyna, I saved you because you are the only one who can set things right. It's your destiny Liyna." Kisha replied.
