Ashley Parker believed that this whole situation was getting a bit out of hand. And by a bit, she actually means that this entire thing was insane.

This didn't feel real to her. She felt like a main character in some obscure action movie. Everything that she was doing felt like some stupid plot line and not real things that she was doing in real life.

She already found it hard to believe that this random curly haired boy that she had only met a few days prior, had somehow discovered a top secret Russian code. That sounded too fake to her but she still decided to join in on the fun and play codebreaker with the other teens.

The whole situation felt even more strange when the code exactly lined up with specific points in her workplace, Starcourt Mall. Like out of all of the places in the world, these Russians were the most interested in Hawkins, some shitty small town in the middle of nowhere. She didn't understand the appeal of this place, so that was a hard fact for her to believe.

But worst of it all, she couldn't believe that she let her own co-workers drag into their big plan of actually infiltrating this potential secret Russian base. She didn't like the idea of potential death, especially when they discovered that said secret base was guarded by a bootleg Arnold Schwarzenegger and he constantly carried around a large gun.

And yet she still went through with the plan anyway, even if she could mysteriously die. She was not happy with the decision but here she was, standing inside of the supposed storage room that belonged to the Russians.

As soon as the group had gotten into the storage room, they were immediately drawn towards the abundance of cardboard boxes. They were just laying around the place but clearly, contained something of importance. Their first instinct was to rip one open and investigate its content. To their surprise, inside was not anything related to the mall but just a chilled steel container.

"That's definitely not Chinese food." Steve pointed out with wide eyes. "Uh, maybe you guys should, you know, stand back."

The girls all did as they were told, taking a few steps back but Dustin held his ground and just got closer to the box. "No." He shook his head.

"Just.....Just step back, okay?" Steve ordered.

"No! No! If you die, I die." Dustin exclaimed.
