It was around 8 pm. James was at home and was getting ready for bed.

He put on a loose-fitting top and trousers before heading up to bed. As soon as he got into his room he walked over to his bed before cuddling into the covers. He sank into the soft pillows and pulled out his phone, the warm glow illuminating his face.

Soon he got tired. He yawned before putting his phone away and snuggling into the covers. He was about to fall asleep. Until...

He heard a knock at the door.

He groaned before pulling the covers off himself and getting out of bed.

He soon got to the door before, he stopped. Was the person behind it going to kill him? James decided to look through the peephole. He looked through it before. He gasped.

He quickly unlocked the door and opened it. Behind the door stood... B!?

James's eyes widened as he stared at B. "B?" He gasped. He suddenly wrapped his arms around B. "I thought you died."

"Well, obviously I didn't." B chuckled.

"Where were you?" James said while pulling away.

"well after you, got back home I'm assuming. I was left alone, I started to wander around until..." B paused for a second, should he tell James about what happened in between or should he not? "Well, I got attacked by an entity and got pretty badly cut, I could see my ribs, I fainted, some people helped me, and I woke up back here. I went to a hospital but now I'm here."

James looked quite shocked. He looked up at B before looking at his chest to see if he could see the cut. "Jeez. You know what comes inside, You are making the house cold by leaving the door open."
James quickly led B inside.

Once they got inside, James led B to a seat and tried to make him comfortable.

James entered the kitchen and made a cup of tea, which he brought to B.

James gave B the mug before sitting next to him. "So, um, how are you?"

B paused for a moment. "I'm okay I guess."

However, B was very quiet, like something was wrong.

James noticed B's silence. "Are you okay?"

Suddenly B's smile faded as he looked down at his tea. "Yeah, I am... Just tired." B tried to lie.

"Well, I have a quest room upstairs if you want to sleep." James looked up at B.

"Oh okay." B finished the cup. "Where should I put this?"

"You can just leave it on the table, I'll sort it out later," James answered.

B put it down, but his sleeve rode up slightly revealing a couple of things cuts.

"B? Are those healing well?" James pointed at the scars, which B quickly covered.

"Y-yes they are," B said quite quickly.

"Okay then..." James paused. "Should I show you the guest bedroom? It's getting late so it's best I do that."

"Yeah, yeah go ahead."

James then started to lead B upstairs, he turned a corner before leading B into a small bedroom space, it had a couple of old boxes in the corner and was very plain but was comfortable enough to call a sort of home.

"I know it's bland but hopefully it's enough." James sighed.

"No, it's fine."

"... Thanks, well I'll be in my room that's just opposite this room. If you need anything look for me."

"Okay, thanks."

James walked off as B went to sit on the bed. B decided to try his best to get some sleep due to him not getting much recently. B sighed before pulling the cover over himself but removing his shirt beforehand to get more comfortable.

B was trying to get asleep but was struggling a bit. He had grown accustomed to staying up late, he wasn't used to sleeping in a comfortable environment. he just decided to stare blankly up at the ceiling.

After a while B's eyelids started to feel heavy, and he eventually fell into a light sleep.

B was in the backrooms, he started to walk around, and a deep feeling of despair.

That was until he noticed, them, his old friends.

This greatly confused me, this was probably one of those vivid dreams he always has. Often of memories he still has or at least fragments of them.

He sighed and walked towards them. They instantly greeted him.
Something was off, every time they said a certain word it was muffled. B greeted them reluctantly.

They soon started to lead B away from the area he was originally, and as they led B away, the surrounding area started to get darker and darker. B turned to look beside him before noticing they were starting to fade away, B started to panic a little.

He looked back before, the lighting changed, it was bright again but blood stains around him. B crept around the area slowly, staring at the blood stains in interest, he walked over to it. He looked at it intently, it was a big splog of blood that had specks of blood around it like someone got their head smashed against it! 'Fuck' B thought, that's how one of them died.

B rushed down the hallway to see the bodies of his friends, he jumped back in shock before backing away. He suddenly felt blood falling off his face from his cheek, the exact spot he got that scar from. He was now just suddenly back to the point he was at 11 months ago.

B woke up in a cold sweat. He started to try to control his breathing. After he managed to he looked out the window, the sun was just rising.

He sat up, he heard someone downstairs, it was probably James making breakfast, it seemed like it was morning and it was winter after all so the sun came up pretty late.

B got out of bed. He put his shirt back on and wandered down the stairs.

He saw James sipping on a cup of coffee. He was wearing the same loose-fitting clothes and had slightly scruffy hair, almost like he was a little restless last night. He yawned before noticing B.

"Hi B, are you okay? you still seem pretty tired..." He looked up at B's concern.

"Yes, I'm okay, just haven't been... The best lately."

"Do you want to talk about it?"

"No, I'm fine."

"Okay, well it seems like you're going to be here for a while, we should probably get you some clothes or something, just so you can get comfortable." James smiled faintly at B. 'This is going to be awkward, with the way I feel around him.' James thought.
