B and James continued to walk. James had no clue where B was taking him. He can't ask B or else he will just be given a silent response.
They continued to walk in complete silence. Despite B currently being completely mute, James couldn't help but feel like he wanted to hear B talk. B seemed interesting, he seemed to have this mysterious aura to him, almost as if he was hiding something. The way he seemed to have a slight tilt in his right leg, the way the hat he wore seemed to slightly hide his face in a shadow, the way he always seemed tired, based on the bags under his eyes, the way he seemed to know this place. James wanted to know more, as much as possible in fact. He wanted to know if B could talk. He seemed to know a couple of different forms of sign language, what if he could speak different languages?
For now, he's going to have to try to gain his trust. He can't just expect B to suddenly speak and dump his whole life story on him, no he's going to have to show B that he's trustworthy.
B continued to walk, looking straight forwards as if James wasn't there. James would need to build a bond with him, B seemed better off without him, but he wanted to convince B that he couldn't be better off without him. B was his ticket out of here. If he doesn't try to build a bond with B, he could just dump him off in some random room. He could leave him for the monsters that lurked down here.
James felt a slight chill run up his spine at the thought of that. He could be used as bait. He was a lot smaller than B, so it could happen.
He started to get very nervous. He started to fidget slightly. But at the same time, B could be extremely nice. The possibilities are endless. They continued to walk in silence. Until James spoke up again. "Do you have any other ways of communicating?" He asked looking up at B.
B didn't answer for a moment before shaking his head.
'Great.' James thought. 'I'm stuck with this freak and to make it better he can't speak at all.' He could probably only communicate with him in simple gestures, nothing close to how complex sign language can be.
"Well, do you have any family?"
B nodded, a slight frown visible on his face.
"Do you have any contact with them?"
B shook his head.
"Oh." James paused. "How long have you been down here?"
B shrugged.
'First he's forgotten his name and now he's forgotten how long he's been here. Is he a fucking idiot? Why do I always end up with these absolute messes of people.' James looked up at B again.

It was 4 hours later.
They had been walking for a while, James was tired and kept nagging B about him feeling tired and how freaky the place was.
B was quiet like usual. He suddenly stopped walking, James who was behind him was knocked down because he had walked into B.
"was zum Teufel!?" He glared up at B. Before he could have a proper go at B, B sat down beside him.
"A warning would have been nice you little-"B shushed. He handed James the blanket from earlier. A notebook flew out of it.
'B could use that as a way to communicate for once.' James pointed out the notebook.
B picked it up before writing something down. He turned it to face James.
Can you shut up for 5 minutes? I get it you're tired, you either sleep here on the floor for a bit or continue walking and be alone. It read.
"That's rude." James crossed his arms.
Try having some tubby lad nag you for a while. The comment was rather passive-aggressive, a poke at James' stature.
"Tubby!? At least I don't look like an anorexic."
I haven't had a proper meal in months, try dealing with that. I'm anaemic.
"Oh. Um... Well..."
Speechless now love?
"Du bist eine Fotze."
I know German, on the topics of snide remarks in different languages. rwyt ti'n bwlyn.
"What language is that?"
Not telling.
"You piss me off."
I should leave you then, hand over the blanket, you're alone you cheeky cunt. B packed the blanket away before walking off.
"WAIT." James ran after B. B wasn't taking this, it's obvious B didn't want to talk to him. "Damnit!" James stomped his foot down before walking in the other direction.
'Let's hope I don't faint again.' He thought. He was feeling really tired but it's probably better he tries to live through it.On his way, he was thinking about what he should have said to B instead. He shouldn't have been a dick head. He grumbled before bowing his head down and changing the direction of his path.
He was lost again. "Fuck!" He looked around but it was all empty. He felt alone. The buzzing was over-stimulating, the carpets were making him cringe, the silence was painful and his voice echoed. He felt faint, his vision darkened, nothing felt real, he was dissociating. 'Better than a meltdown, at least I'm not hitting myself. ' he sat down again. Maybe another one of those explorers would pick me up.
They didn't come. He groaned before getting back up and walking again. He walked through the halls before hearing a deep growl. Not one of them again. He started to speed walk but it knocked him down.
"GET OFF" James covered his face and screamed out, pushing the monstrosity of a creature away. It was hungry for blood, it was obvious.
James continued to cry out. Suddenly the entity gripped his visor with its jaws. James clutches the strap. The creature pulled it off. It wasn't to its taste so it threw it to the side. James couldn't see, his eyes were cloudy, his vision unable to come through. He started to thrash about, until a sharp pain filled his face, it was trying to rip off his face.
He continues to shout. Before he knew it blood dripped down his face, he was sure it had ripped out his eyes and the top of his face. He was in shock. It grabbed him again.
He heard someone run over. B. He was trying to get the entity's attention, he would need to talk if he wanted it off, James. B swallowed back his anxiety. 'God forbid selective mutism, it's a pain in the arse.' He calmed himself down before finally speaking.
"HEY." His voice had a rather thick Welsh accent, it had a slight twinge of an African accent, more down South.
The entity noticed him, it refused to let go. B ran towards it before slipping both of his arms in it jaws and forcing it open. It dropped James. The problem is the entity had gotten one of Bs hands, he pulled it back, he hissed in pain as it ripped of the back of the skin on his left hand. He quickly pulled it to his chest before clutching his hand. He quickly wrapped something around it.
He ran to James' side. He inspected the wound before cleaning it, making James squirm. B had quickly wrapped it with a Clean gauze. Before placing a bandage over it.

James sat beside B. His visor was slightly cracked but he's lucky he managed to have it intact or else B would have probably had to carry him around or stay very close to him the whole time.He noticed B looking down at his left hand which was currently wrapped up.
"What happened to your hand?" James said breaking the silence.
B looked over at him, silent.
"I know you can talk, I heard you."
B stayed silent.
"Say something. What happened to your hand?"
B was silent for a while longer before sighing and answering. "Fine, there, I'm talking now."
James raised his eyebrows, finally actually hearing B. "You sound rather..."
"Welsh? I get it a lot."
"Okay. How come you weren't talking?"
"That's nothing to you."
James frowned starting to get a bit annoyed at B again. He just decided to stay quiet. He wanted B to open up to him.
