He stroked my hand as I lay leaning over my cot. I fell asleep shortly after, dreamless. I woke up to a shuffle of sheets.

"Hey, May," a hand stroked my shoulder. "You slept through the night." he smiled

"That I did," I said groggy.

"Finn sent me a holo message asking if I could meet him in the debriefing room with everyone?" he said.

"Go ahead," I said. "Poe, I'm ok." I smiled.

I lay in my bed and rubbed my eyes. I'm home, I keep having to say that to myself. I am safe..

I got up and put on my uniform for that day, I was apparently given a wheelchair so I took a seat and figured out my barrings. After five minutes I was able to control it and go to the debriefing room where Poe said he was going to be.

"May!" Rose said.

She ran and gave me a hug without totally making us fall over.

"Hey Rose" I smiled.

I wheeled up to what was shown on the holo pad.

"Woah- what is this?" I asked.

"A message from a spy in the First Order." Finn chimed in.

A silence fell over the room.

"Guys, its ok," I said.

"The message gives us intell of what the first order is planning to do with Batuu." Finn continued. "As of now we wait. We can only do so much with what we have."

"Rey left to go meet with Vi and scope out possible allies." Poe said.

I nodded.

"I have to go talk to Connix, I will see you guys at lunch." Rose explained.

We said our goodbyes realizing we each have our missions. I went to watch the pilots practice their drills as the General put me on leave due to circumstances.

"You miss flying dont you?" a voice came from behind me, turning around seeing it was the general.

"More than anything, me and Lycan would always, you know," I said. "I dont think Ill be able to look at an X-wing the same."

"Many people who survive the First Order take a while, you will get there, meanwhile do you want to help me and Snap sort files?" she asked

"That would be great," I smiled.

Maybe, I wasnt nothing.
