Chapter 11- Barbados
Olly’s POV
Ahh, Barbados was beautiful, Rosie and I had been here for 4 days and all we had done was lay on the beach, it was nice because surprisingly there weren’t many paps, I think because it had been such a low key thing then no one had really clocked onto it. I walked into the room after going for a morning walk along the beach, and Rosie was outside on the balcony in a white kaftan dress, her hair down to one side she was looking as gorgeous as ever. I walked up to her and wrapped my arms around her and rested my head on her shoulder.
“Morning beautiful.” I said kissing her cheek.
“Morning baby.” She replied squeezing my hands. “Isn’t this just a stunning view?”
“Yeah, in more ways than one.” I said tickling her ribs. “But no, it is, I love this hotel, I came here a couple of years ago and I fell in love with this view, so I decided that every time I came here that I would always have this room.” I told her
“Aww, that’s lovely Olly.” she said turning round to face me, placing her arms round my neck. “I’ve been thinking.” She said
“Oh no not again.” I said sticking out my tongue.
“Rude.” She quoted “But I reckon we should have-“
RING RING
“Sorry, excuse me a sec babe.” She said going inside to grab her phone. I looked out onto the balcony and at the sea view it was absolutely gorgeous, I took in the air and thought about Trevor, he was such a nice man and didn’t deserve this awful health problem.
“Oh, God, ohhh noo, oh my God Jess, oh my… oh fuck, I’m so sorry, Jess oh…” Rosie shouted from inside the room, I turned round and ran inside to see Rosie sat on the floor in floods of tears. I knew straight away that it was Trevor.
“Shhhh, calm down, shhhh.” I said taking her in my arms. She was shaking so badly, and I could feel the tears welling up in my eyes but I knew I had to stay strong for Rosie and Jess.
“Jess I-I’ll call you b-b-back in a minute h-honey. I’m s-so so-sorry.” Rosie said letting the phone slip from her hand to the floor, she turned and buried her face in my chest; I kissed her head and rested it on top of hers.
“Just let it all out Ro.”
“He’s gone Olls, Trev, he died this morning. Why, why did he have to have that awful stroke?” she cried, she looked up to me. “He was like my second dad Olly, and now… now he’s gone.”
“Shh I’m so sorry babe, honestly I am…but at least he went peacefully Ro, look, look at me.” I said lifting her chin up and wiping her tears away. “I’ll book the next flight back to England and we can go and be with them all if you want.”
“Thanks Olly.” she said smiling at me, but the tears were still falling down her cheeks. She stood up and pulled me up too. “I best go and start packing then hadn’t I.” She said.
“Well I’m not too sure ‘cos I don’t know when the next flight might be, as they’re a bit temperamental. I’ll go check.” I said grabbing my iPad off the side and looking at the flights. “There’s one for tomorrow morning at 9am.” I said looking at her on the bed.
“Yeah that’s perfect. Can you book it now babe?” she asked me. I nodded and grabbed my wallet.
“Do you wanna go first class?” I asked her.
“Only if it’s not too expensive Olly, you know me I’m easy going.”
“Alright.” I booked the first class tickets and put my iPad on the side. I sat down next to her on the bed, she was wiping the last few tears from her eyes away, I took her into my arms again and we just sat there for ages saying nothing.
