Chapter Twenty-Six
Everything In This World Is Just Wrong

The Doctor and Mickey walked down the street until they found Emma and Rose. It was perfect timing because it was like the two never left. They were sitting on the nearest bench when the Doctor stopped in front of them with a grin. He pulled out the small power cell from his pocket with a proud look on his face.

"There you two are. You alright? No applause. I fixed it. Twenty-four hours, then we're flying back to reality."

Despite everything going on just seeing the Doctor happy made Emma happy too. She was sitting on the back part of the bench as he sat down next to her. When her gaze dropped from him, he could immediately tell something was wrong. Rose was even worse than Emma; sad puppy eyes and a big pout. Mickey frowned at the sight while the Doctor sighed and looked away from the two.

"What is it?"

"Nothing," Emma tried to lie with a smile.

"Oh, come on," Rose muttered. "Our phones connected. There's this Cybus Network. It finds your phone. It gave us internet access."

"Listen, whatever it says, this is the wrong world," the Doctor firmly told them.

"We don't exist," Rose said again.

"What do you mean?" the Doctor asked but he was looking at Emma for the answer.

"There's no Emma Winchester or Rose Tyler. There's Mary Winchester, John Winchester, Pete Tyler, and Jackie Tyler but that's it," Emma explained.

"Mum still married but they never had kids," Rose added.

"Oh, Rose," Mickey said in sympathy. He went to hug his girlfriend and she hugged him back tightly, not knowing how to feel right now.

"Give me that phone," the Doctor said and grabbed the phone in Emma's hands. She didn't bother to pull back and let him take it. He should have known that not interfering in this world didn't mean not doing her research on it. She was a Winchester, a human hunter, after all. "Angel..." he sighed and took her hand in his with a gentle squeeze.

"They're business partners, John Winchester and Pete Tyler," Emma said. "Both of them are rich. They have their own houses and cars, and everything anyone could ever want. But I'm not the only one who doesn't exist."

"What do you mean, Em?" the Doctor asked.

She looked at him, chewing her bottom lip before releasing it and giving a slightly humorless laugh. "The best part of this parallel world. John and Mary Winchester don't have kids. There's no Dean and Sam Winchester. My dad and uncle just don't exist, at all. At least not in this world anyway."

"Better that way, yeah?" he asked softly.

Emma nodded, thinking exactly the same thing.

She never knew her grandparents and the only thing to actually tempt her into meeting them, well their alternate reality selves, would be her dad and uncle. They didn't exist here so naturally her curiosity level lessened to only 10% at best. It did make her sad though to know that not every reality had the ones she loved in them.

"I've got to see him," Rose suddenly said and got up from the bench. "I've got to see my dad."

"You can't," the Doctor denied.

"I just want to see him," she argued.

"I can't let you."

"Rosie, we talked about this," Emma sighed.
