Chapter 3: Infinite and Finite

A familiar beeping sound came from Kim's communicator made them freeze. They gave each other glances before shoving the rest of their food into their mouth. They both headed for the bathrooms. Where they would change into their hero suits using their new and improved nano technology. Their suits popped out with a press of a button. They unlocked the door and teleported out of the fast food chain.

They teleported towards their hideout sort of thing. Which is an underground base that Kim had built inside a very random abandoned cave she saw close to her house. It was filled with the finest technology ever made.

They opened their supercomputer and began researching what was stolen. Someone had stolen the Star of Estrella. The most prized possession of their beloved city. It was an unknown element that came from the first inhabitants of their city! It was priceless for sure. It was said to be found somewhere underneath the grand museum of Estrella! Where the original mines were stationed.

A random worker had accidentally discovered an unknown material. It was observed by professional scientists in the future and it was nothing earth-like. It was a whole new element. It was called, Estrey. For some reason that was what the early inhabitants of the city of Estrella wanted to call it.

They used their advanced technology to locate the material's whereabouts. It had a slight radioactivity level. Though it will not cause any harm to people. Unless it is in the wrong hands, as they should say. It is mostly used as a power source for some of the most important buildings in town. For example was Estrel High itself! It needs a very strong power source to power all the necessary equipment used for training. Without the Estrey the school is just a normal school. It wouldn't have anything important about it.

They first arrived at the scene of the crime. The theif could have left clues about who or where they are.

"Hello Officer Mark. Could I have access to your security system? I need to check it for some clues on who has done the crime." Kim or specifically, Infinite, asked the security guard.

The security guard turned towards the two vigilantes known as Infinite and Finite. He stopped himself from squealing in excitement. He hasn't seen the two in person before, he has only heard stories about the daring duo.

The security guard knows the meaning behind both's vigilante names. For he has seen their work throughout the news. Stories of Infinite using different types of powers in each story! While Finite was only seen using about two powers. He had also looked for the meaning of the words. Infinite meaning limitless or basically uncountable. While Finite means having limit.

He had concluded that Infinite has infinitely many powers, while Finite only has limited amount of powers.

The two vigilantes stated at the officer who seemed to be absent at the moment. Maybe he was excited to see that two of the most famous vigilantes in the city of Estrella is talking to him?

"Uhm. Officer Mark?" Finite waved his hand Infront of the officer's face. Making him realize that he was supposed to be speaking to them about the case.

"Oh uh. Sorry. Can you repeat that?" Officer Mark asked sternly. Finite wanted to complain about how easily distracted the guard was.

I mean like, why is he day dreaming or something while on the job? But of course to be polite, he didn't say a thing. Even though he wanted to do so.

"Could I have access to your security system? I need to check it for some clues on who has done the crime."  Infinite repeated.

"Sure. You guys are one of the most respected vigilantes in town. Of course you can look at the cameras. I know that'll be giving vital information that you guys can use." Officer Mark replied. Laughing awkwardly at the end of his sentence. He was nervous. Who wouldn't be?
