Chapter 5: I'm Coming!

Finite only glared at the villain. Who had recently hung up on Infinite. Good thing he doesn't know that we could trace calls that easily.

The villain simply glared back at the hero in a mischievous way. And Finite hated it. He knew this man was planning something big. Even if it's something someone else has done before.

"You just had to tell her about my fool proof plan. It's not like she'll be able to stop it." He slowly turned his stern expression into a bone chilling smile. A smile that means that he was a maniac. A crazed person. Or specifically. A crazed evil scientist.

But Finite knew this man was still smart. The fact that he's a scientist doesn't surprise him.

"Why wouldn't I tell her? She's my partner after all." He replied. In a taunting manner.

"There is no point. She won't be able to save you." Professor Duren added. Adding a typical evil laugh at the end of his sentence.

'Man, is this guy annoying or what?' Finite thought. Chuckling at his own thought. He catches the attention of the villain.

"What are you laughing at!" He shouted. Immediately walking closer to where he had place Finite in.

Finite didn't reply. He isn't obligated to reply to every question villains give him.

It's not like he hasn't been kidnapped before. But the last few times Infinite was usually able to find him before sunrise. He wishes that that will also be the case. Because his parents would demand answers from him if they don't see him around.

Even though he is only 13 years old. He's as strong as a full grown man. Have you seen him fight though!

"Are ya gonna answer me or what!?!" Professor Duren demanded. Finite chuckled in response. Which made the villain even more confused as ever.

"Why? I'm not obligated to answer to you!" He answered after chuckling for a few seconds.

"Well." The villain paused. Rubbing his chin. Thinking of a perfect response to the hero being very disrespectful.

"You're in my hideout. My hideout, my rules." He immediately replied after thinking.

"You're not my mom." Finite joked in response. It was really funny honestly. Even though he was kidnapped. It still felt nice to joke around with his captor. Annoy him enough to let him go free.

Professor Duren decided to just turn off the microphone for Finite. So that Finite could hear him, but he couldn't hear Finite. He doesn't even understand why he even bothered to aim for the sidekick. But he was smart enough to know that the sidekick was usually the weak spot of the hero.

If you glanced at the hero you could catch him shouting words. But you can't hear it. Which was the joy of it.

As soon as he relaxed with the sweet utter silence. Something exploded from behind.

You could practically see Finite give a huge smile. Professor Duren knew exactly who was there.

"Destination. Phantom Forest." She stated. Ordering their jet to fly her towards Finite's location.

She knew that she could've just flew there. But she couldn't risk being too tired to even save her best friend slash partner.

"ETA: 30 minutes." The computer stated. She smiled. She is this close to saving Ron. She can't fail now.

The good thing was, it was still night time. Midnight to be exact. Which saved them from any awkward conversation with their parents.

"Now. How am I supposed to save him." She thank. Infinite needs an idea somehow.

Knowing Duren, they're probably underground. Because making an airship would have taken too much time. And also adding cloaking technology to the whole thing would be very hard work. And it costs a lot.

She pressed a button on the screen in front of her.

"Activate the camera in Finite's mask." She commanded.

And a screen out up and showed exactly what was happening. Good thing they added the microphone so that they can hear what was happening on video.

She got blasted with loud noises when the video played.

"Hey! Did you just turn off your audio or something! I bet you just got super annoyed!!" He shouted as loud as he can.

Infinite was relieved. He was okay to say the least. But she needs to know more to be sure of that.

'hmm.. what is he wearing?' She thought.

"Can you analyze it for me computer?" She asked nicely.

"Analyzing" The robotic voice responded.

She waited greatly for an answer. Good thing Ron knew how program this and Kim knew what great stuff to add to it's program.

Atleast he's okay. So that's why he didn't use his powers to escape. The suit prevents him.

I have to think of a way to disable nano technology.

So I asked the computer. Ron programmed it's results to be precise and highly accurate. Meaning no Wikipedia results will show up. Because people could literally edit that! It could be wrong for all we know.

"You have arrived at your destination."

What? Here already!

"Can you speed up the search?" Infinite asked.

"I cannot. But I do know that Professor Duren might have a button to turn it off." The computer responded.

She left her jet outside. It was in camouflage mode. They can't take any chances.

She saw an unguarded shaft in the middle of two bushes.

"Just made things a lot more easier for me, Duren." She slowly opened the shaft. Which led her down into Duren's base.

She doesn't even understand why the man's goon aren't there. It felt off, but she has to keep going.

She got led to an elevator. All the buttons had signs on it, indicating what was there on each floor.

"Jackpot." She whispered as she saw that Floor -14 had the label saying, 'Prisoners go here'

She also saw Floor -17 which said 'Henchmen Lounge'

They even get a lounge haha.

She pressed floor -14. She needed to save Finite. Then they save the world together.

Infinite was meet with a locked door. A voice was heard inside, most likely Duren's. But she could just get the door to budge open.

Infinite has to take drastic measures.

She grabbed a bunch of exploding discs and stuck them to the door.
