the car had finally come to a stop and of course in the typical fashion of the weather here it started pouring .
Thee driver quickly came out to open my door and brought out an umbrella guiding me to the door.
.

I had waved him goodbye and took  off my boots that had been caked with mud off my feet at ,  our ironically cheesy doormat my mother bought as a joke it wrote .

" welcome to  the  this crazy bunch factory " .

yeah  I know I know what a hoot .
I dropped my keys in our key bowl and had gone nearing the kitchen that smelt of baked goods which alerted me she was home and of course the barking of our neighbours dog  daisy also alerted me she was home .

"hello daisy "

I had bent down at the now demanding dog who faced upside down glady showing me her belly to rub after doing my service to her I had made my way to the kitchen I ran towards my mother kissing her cheek and hugged her back .

"well hello to you too my sunshine you can wash your hands and help yourself to some scones I made there should be jam in the fridge".

and upon instruction I did so , enjoying my mum 's  classical versions of pop music playlist I had no idea why she particularly favoured a classical version of any song on the radio but I never outwardly questioned it after all it was all a vibe to me"

"I had hurried to the fresh plate of scones and cut one open , buttering it up with butter and putting jam inside and stuffed it into my face.

"don't be in rush you'll choke also that is not lady like Sara".
she scolded laughing, I loved that sweet noise that came from her, her laugh my mum had to have been the sweetest human being on the planet I had made that assumption long ago

"mum is this the  classical version of stay ." I laughed at the absurdity of it sounding so good

"I don't know ? " my mom danced around the kitchen with a baking tray of scones wiggling about whilst laughing at herself as well .

I laughed then stopped in the middel of the laugh , warmth this moment had been warm the memory had now been eitched into my brain the contrast of the cold rainy weather and the warmth and vibrance of the kitchen my mom clearly ridiculssoly dancing around our small kitchen holding a tray of scones and twirl to classical covers of pop music daisy greeting me at the door and the sweet laughter of my mum this very moment was just that a moment I would miss this I just knew

I had let the stary tear that had been sitting by my eye loose and soon my mum stopped her twirling and came giving me a hug

"honey are you ok?"

I quickly wiped the tear away and smiled

"silly me I am fine I am just-" I paused controlling myself so I would not cry any further

"I am just really happy"

"aww my love" my mum had kissed my forehead and went back to baking the scones

this was it I had to tell her
" ah actually mum there is something I do have to tell you".
she had paused her humming and sat holding my hand

"oh it's nothing major , I just em I got a really awesome job postion today"

"oh really ahh MY SWEET GIRL WE HAVE TO CELEBERETE I'LL GET SOME WINE AHHHH MY GORGEOUS GORGEOUS GIRL" .
my mum had come showering me with affection
