CHAPTER 2: FIRST CONTACT.

A few days had passed, and it was finally time for Genya to visit his master, Oyakata-sama.

He walked out of the Butterfly Mansion.

He reached after a few minutes.

"Goddamn! It took me so long..."
Genya exhaled softly.

With an irritated expression, he walked in. That's when, he found the young Mist Hashira, Tokito Muichiro sitting there.

Genya's expression changed as his eyes widened a bit. He found himself staring at the long haired boy in front of him for too long. So, he immediately looked away.

Muichiro turned to look at the tall boy, who was standing right in front of him now.

Who is he? Why is his face red?
Muichiro thought as he looked at Genya's now flushed face.

Muichiro was concerned but didn't bother to ask Genya if he was okay.

Both of them were alarmed as they heard footsteps approaching as well as Oyakata-sama clearing his throat.

"Oyakata-sama is arriving."
The daughters walked in with the master.

Both of them bow before their master.

"Muichiro, Genya, I have a mission for you..."
Oyakata-sama said calmly.

"And I am sure that you two are capable of finishing this task."
He added.

"Yes Master..."
They said together.

"Head to Tokyo tomorrow. I have been informed of the presence of demons there. Don't let anybody down, finish off those demons and come back safe!"
Oyakata-sama said.

"Yes Master!"

Oyakata-sama smiled warmly.

"I have also heard that you two don't know each other that well, but it's okay! Making friends is an important part growing up.
You both are young yet brave. Make sure to talk to each other well!"
He chuckled softly and began,

"Your meeting is now dismissed."
He walked away.

Genya immediately got up, ready to leave. But, a soft voice from behind stopped him.

"Wait..."

Genya turned back to find Muichiro holding on to his arm to stop him.

In a second, Genya turned all red. He took a deep breath in.

"Yeah?" He asked.

"What did the master say again?"
Muichiro asked, a completely clueless look on his face.

Does he forget that easily?
Thought Genya.

"Well, he told us to leave for Tokyo tomorrow."
He replied.

"Oh..."

The two decided to walk together.

They were silent for minutes, listening to their own footsteps. But soon enough, started talking.

"So... You're a Hashira?"
Genya asked.

Muichiro nodded.

"How old are you?" Asked Genya.

"I... Don't remember."
Muichiro replied.

So he forgets easily...
Genya thought.

"I didn't catch your name..."
Said Genya, feeling a little awkward.

"Tokito Muichiro."
Muichiro told him.

Thank goodness he remembers his name!
Genya thought.

"What is your name, you're very tall."
Muichiro said as he was super interested in knowing more about Genya.

"Shinazugawa Genya."

That's a good name, though I will forget it soon enough.
Thought Muichiro.

After talking for minutes, they both enjoyed each other's company.

As Genya was ready to say goodbye to his new companion, he realised that he didn't feel so irritated and pissed around him, instead, he could show his softer side to Muichiro.
He felt that Muichiro could understand him well, though he forgets easily.

They both were finally near the Butterfly Mansion.

"So, I'll see you tomorrow then?"
Genya looked at the shorter boy.

"You're going to the Butterfly Mansion?"
Asked Muichiro, a sad expression on his face for he didn't want Genya to leave, it had been a long time since he had talked so much and enjoyed it.

"Yeah! Is there anything wrong?"
Replied Genya.

"No, n-nothing."
Said Muichiro.

"I'll come to the Butterfly Mansion tomorrow then."
He added.

"Sure thing."
Genya went to the Butterfly Mansion while Muichiro made his way to his Estate.
