𝙔𝙤𝙪 𝙬𝙤𝙠𝙚 𝙪𝙥 that next morning with an aching head pain. The sun didn't help as it made the pain worse. You pulled open the top drawer of your night stand and took a few advil tablets to ease the pain before rolling over and checking your phone.

There were notifications flooding your screen. Messages from Sasha and Imani asking where you'd run off to as well as multiple missed calls. You hurriedly called Sasha and laid your head on the backboard of your bed.

"Where are you? It took you long enough to answer your phone. I spent an hour looking for you last night, Armin told me he saw you walking off with Eren so I assumed you were in good hands if he wasn't worried."

"He must've been talking about earlier in the night; I don't remember being with Eren for more than five minutes yesterday. The last thing I remember is getting tired so I asked Connie to bring me home." Sasha went quiet on the other side of the line, "Can you still hear me?"

"Yeah... but Connie drove back with Armin last night. I'm sure he just dropped you off and came back to the club though. Anyway I'm glad you're safe."

A man's voice whispered something on Sasha's side of the phone. She tried to talk over it but you clearly had listened in on something that wasn't meant for your ears. Seconds passed and Sasha giggled then unsettling noises erupted from the phone.

"Sasha gross."

"Oh fuck I forgot you were there. Gotta go y/n I'm about to have my second breakfast."

She hung up the phone directly after that and you simply shook your head. Since you were awake you decided to do some self care to get over your headache.

You took an everything shower, then proceeded to get yourself ready and throw on some clothes to go out in. You put your laptop and other essentials in a tote bag and grabbed your keys before heading out the door to go to your favorite cafe. Coffee always helped you think better, plus you always found something to distract yourself with when you worked at home.

Reset days were a blessing. Although your boss wasn't someone you particularly cared for, you were happy he had enough heart to give everyone a day off in the middle of the week.

When you approached the cafe's parking lot you noticed there weren't a lot of people hanging around. You grabbed your bag and walked inside and ordered your favorite drink off of the menu and headed over to your favorite corner of the building. Your objective was to get as much work done as possible since your boss had dropped six months worth of work on your head for you to finish in less than a month.

As you set your stuff up to work you saw a familiar person ordering. He locked eyes with you and gracefully made his way over to your table.

"I see you've kept some of the same habits from high school; you used to come here all the time." Connie pulled out a chair and sat next to you while he waited for his drink.

You nodded, "It's where I work best." You took a sip of your coffee and continued to talk to him, "Oh I almost forgot- did my necklace fall off in the car last night when you took me home? Thanks for  doing that by the way."

He made a questioning face at you like he didn't understand what you were referring to. "We drank last night, I'm risky but not risky enough to put you in that type of situation. I'm not sure where your necklace is."
