The sun is setting as it is dinnertime. DAD is in the kitchen, ELIZABETH is watching the birds, BLUEY and ANGIE are cleaning themselves in peace, and PEAR and MIKA are mindlessly eating.
DAD
I'll be cooking with oil in five minutes.
ELIZABETH
(panicking)
O-okay, let me put the birds away! Why is it so sudden? You know Angie has just recently been tamed.
DAD
Well, I'm hungry, and I want to fry something.
ELIZABETH picks up PEAR and MIKA together first and brings them to her bedroom, the right side of the stage.
PEAR
Do you know if there will be any hidden millet in her room?
MIKA
Nah, I highly doubt it. She's rarely in there anyway.
PEAR
True, she's only there to sleep at night.
MIKA
But I sure hope that there will be some interesting toys to play with or places to hide!
ELIZABETH picks up BLUEY in hopes to lure ANGIE over. She fails to, and ANGIE ends up flying around.
BLUEY
C'mon, Angie! Let's go! I promise you that it's safe! I'll be here with you.
ANGIE
She's in a rush making me rushed and not in a way where I feel like complying. What's so important that we all need to evacuate this room for anyway?
BLUEY
The smell of oil frying? Does that ring a bell at all?
ANGIE
No. My previous owners always let me smell the oil.
ANGIE flies down but keeps her distance from ELIZABETH's hand.
BLUEY
You don't feel uncomfortable?
ANGIE
I guess I've never really thought about it since I thought that everything that they were doing is for my own benefit.
BLUEY
Oh, man. I thought Elizabeth was being extra about everything, but it turns out that since I flew away two years ago, she became paranoid and very protective of everyone.
ANGIE
You didn't fly away on the first day she got you, right?
