Matts pov:

I heard a knock...

"Come in" I said

"Hi matt" Jaylin says

She sits down on my bed next to me and we stay sat together in an awkward silence until...

"I think i would like to be your friend Matthew"

"Yeah me too" i start "but only if you stop calling me Matthew"

"I'll try, but I can't make any promises"

"Would you like to tell me about those bruises?"

"Okay" she starts to explain everything mentioning abuse and her dad leaving.

I don't know what to say so I don't say anything, instead I pull her into a tight hug.

"Do you want to watch a movie with me and Nick" she asks still in my arms.

I nod and let go of her

We walk to the couch, sit down next to each other and pick a movie with Nick

-2hours later

Jaylin's pov:

I wake up and find my self cuddled up to Matt as he is awake talking to Nick and Chris who apparently joined us after I fell asleep. I try to fall back to sleep not making it obvious that I woke up but I then realise what they're talking about.

"Chris shut the fuck up you're going to wake her up" Matt whisper yelled

"Oops sorry, I forgot" he says

"Wait, Matt why did you come home with Jay" Nick asks

"I saw her being harassed by some creepy man whilst walking charm"

"and? What did you do to help"

"I went over and tried to make it look like I was her boyfriend"

"How" Chris asks

"Well, I put my hands on her waist and pulled her to my chest and told him I was her boyfriend and to piss off"

"Did you now" Chris smirks

"Oh fuck off"

"Come on you can't say you don't have a crush on her it's so obvious"

"I mean I don't know maybe, but shut the fuck up she might have woken up"

"Yeah ok I'll stop"

Oh em gee Matt has a crush on me. MATTHEW FUCKING STURNIOLO LIKES ME- oh fuck I like him to... shitttt.

I wait a few minutes before pretending to wake up.

"Well hello sleeping beauty" Chris jokes

"Hi"

"I can't believe you slept through power rangers" Nick says

"Haha hello to you too"

I turn to Matt

"Hey" he says smiling

"Hi" I say as I rest my head back onto his chest

"Anyways I'm going to bed" Nick says staring at Matt "You can sleep in matts bed"

Matt glares at him

"Oh ok" I say looking at Nick

"Yeah me too" Chris says as he starts to walk to his room

"You can go up to my room, I'm just going to get a drink" Matt says walking to the kitchen.

"Ok" I say as I start walking to his room

When I get to his room I lay down on his bed and cover myself with his covers and drift off to sleep immediately

Matts pov:

As I enter my room I put my drink down on my bedside table and see that Jay is already asleep in my bed.

I change into my pyjamas and gently climb into bed trying not to wake her up but I guess I did.

"Matt"

"Yeah"

"Thank you for listening tonight"

"Of course"

She then lays her head on my chest and I wrap my arm around her and we drift off to sleep holding tightly onto each other.
