Chapter: 5 Campfire

Author: Heyo everyone I'm back I know it's been a while since I kind of stopped due to lack of readers, but I figured to see this thing through. Any who let's jump back in.

After Hosea had dealt with Micah, Anne got in line for her serving of dinner with Marcy getting in line behind her.

Anne: "Hey Marcy whoa"

Marcy is still covered in yarn from earlier in the day.

Anne: "Umm Marcy what happened?"

Marcy: "DON'T ASK."

Anne: "Okay then."

They got their serving of dinner which consisted of some bread and stew. The two found a spot on a log away from the main campfire. While Marcy ate Anne looked forlornly at the stew.

Marcy: "What's wrong Anna-Banana?"

Anne: "(looked up at Marcy) OH I was just thinking........... about my parents.

Man, I wonder what is going through their heads since I didn't attend my birthday party."

"They must be so worried."

Marcy: "(hugs Anne) Oh Anne I'm sorry but don't worry we'll find a way back home."

Anne: "(returns the hug) Thanks, Marcy."

Marcy: "(Marcy felt her face get red and then pulled back after a second) Anytime Anne, now you had better eat it's been a long day."

Anne: "Yeah (sigh) Long day."

After they had finished eating, the sun had set

Dutch: "(walks up to them) Hello you two."

Anne: "Hello Mr. Van Der Linde."

Dutch: Hmm Miss Boonchuy you did an okay job with those dishes, and Miss Wu I see that sewing didn't go well for you today."

Marcy who had been pulling pieces of yarn out of her hair looked up at Dutch.

Marcy: "I'll say I've got enough yarn in my hair to make a sweater twice my size."

Dutch: "(chuckles) I think you may be right, say how about you two come near the main fire and warm up a bit?"

Anne hadn't realized it yet, but the temperature had lowered significantly since the sun went down.

Anne: "Sure......I guess it wouldn't hurt."

Anne and Marcy both walked to the main campfire and sat down on some crates while the rest of the gang carried on laughing and drinking.

Uncle: well look it's our two strange visitors. Care to regale us with your otherworldly tales?

Anne: Well, I don't really have anything to say.

Uncle: Well, I applaud you for scaring the shit out of John earlier when he assumed you two were dark magic users ha-ha."

John who had been sitting nearby got up and left fuming and spouting obscenities at everything.

Arthur: "Still acts like a baby tsk tsk tsk."

Uncle: "Well Javier I am in the mood for a song what are we playing tonight?"

Javier: "I've got nothing you haven't heard before.
