IT WASN'T EVEN FIVE AM yet, the sun was still soaking under the shades of the trees and ground. Darkness had swallowed up the day several hours ago, depleting the world of its beautiful sunlight. More nocturnal animals exited their homes, ready for their days to start. Bugs among the scenery felt it was finally acceptable to let their songs sing.

Hiyori Hinata was cuddled softly in her new bed — the comforter was so surprisingly soft and warm that it swallowed her up in a deep slumber almost immediately. The long train ride along with settling into her new room had exhausted much of her energy, slumber was practically screaming her name.

The room was bigger than the girl expected, containing a large built-in closet, one desk and chair, a dresser, two nightstands, and a full-sized bed with wooden bed frame. The black curtains shielded any of the light that would escape inside otherwise, leaving a very dark and shadowed room. But that's how she preferred to sleep, anyway. Light or sound would keep her up, not that it was necessarily hard to keep the girl awake — an insomniac.

Her dark red colored hair had been braided into two along both sides of her ears, the braids strolled all the way down to her middle back. Hiyori's purple eyes couldn't be seen since they were fastened close, a light humming escaping her system in between an occasional snore. Her lips were just barely parted, a small amount of oxygen slipping in and out.

After the first year students and Gojo arrived at the college, Gojo instructed Yuji to introduce Hiyori to her bedroom — incidentally, placed in between Fushiguro to the left, and Yugi to the right.

Yuji explained that her room was actually directly above Gojo's room, and to be careful not to disturb the sensei during his rest. If there was one thing Satoru Gojo hated most, it was being interrupted during his beauty sleep.

Yuji demanded to catch up, since it had been felt like a decade — only five years, though, since they last saw each other. Kugisaki scolded the boy by smacking the back of his head, explaining how Hiyori deserved to have one night to herself before jumping straight into the life of being a jujutsu sorcerer. That it would have to wait until tomorrow.

Yuji slugged his shoulders down in disappointment, but Hiyori happily squeezed his shoulder — stating that they would surely have a moment to catch up soon.

A creak of a floorboard sounded throughout the dark room.

It was loud enough to awake the once slumbering Hiyori, her dazed eyes were only halfway cracked open — sleepiness residing in them. She had jerked her head from her once cold pillow, and her eyes traced the room. She could just barely see outlines of the room from the darkness, her desk a few feet away, the dresser in the corner, her nightstand beside the bed.
