Val was walking out into the court yard, towards the dorms, ready for a nice lie down after her showdown with Bianca. While walking she noticed Wednesday join her side, strolling along the stoned ground. "Hi wednesday, how you finding nevermore so far?" Val asked genuinely curious to see the emo girls opinion, hearing her distaste for it earlier. "Eh, it's ok I guess, the people are too enthusiastic and annoying, they have interesting subjects though." She explained to Val, still keeping her normal blank stare across her face.

"What about you? You like this hellhole of a school?" She asked, very monotone and boring, but hey at least she was talking to her. "I like it, the people are nice, not too annoying for me, funny enough, but yeah I guess the same I like the subjects they have, pretty interesting." Val expressed her thoughts knowing the shorter girl is just listening along. "and I can't wait to see the town, maybe get some shopping in." She finished. Neither girl knew what to add so they just walked side by side on the school grounds in a comfortable silence.

As they neared closer to the dorm rooms both brunettes could hear a rumbling noise. Confused they both turned around, checking their surroundings, then Wednesday looked up and saw a gargoyle move out of place, for a split second, both girls lives flashed before their eyes, just as the gargoyle was knocked off its pedestal and directly above them. Too stunned to move Val and Wednesday just stood there and watched as the stoned sculpture came falling down.

"Val! Wednesday!" A voice spoke out. Just before the girls felt the brutal force of stone smashing them to the ground another force smashed them to the ground, instead of under a gargoyle they were scarcely a few metres to the right of where the smashed sculpture lay. It took a few seconds to recollect thoughts about what just happend before Val realised that she was alive and a heavy weight laid above her, thinking it was just Wednesday who snapped out of her trance before Val and shoved them aside.

Val started thanking Wednesday before opening her eyes to see a tall skinny guy above her, looking around for Wednesday, thankfully the girl lay right beside her and the guy, who she actually believed was Xavier Thorpe, another kid in her year level. She wasn't going to deny the fact that, in that position she thought of him of quite attractive, Though she'd never tell anyone yet.

In a trance Val forgot the situation she was in and quickly took to her feet, out from under Xavier's tall form. The rush of blood flowing through to her head was quick, making Val stumble a little on her way up. Xavier thinking she was going to fall, made his instincts kick in and put his hands around her, to give her extra support. "Are you ok?" He asked quietly, remembering her fall she just took, Val probably had an minor concussion, still a concussion though, she'd have to go to the infirmary. "What do you think, I was just shoved into the ground before a gargoyle smashed into me and Wednesday." Before thinking properly, the words came rushing out from her mouth, not even considering the fact that he just saved her and Wednesday's life.

This took Xavier by surprise, thinking she'd be pretty sweet after her life had just been saved, obviously not. "I'm sorry, I'm usually nicer, I just almost died, you know, got shoved to the ground, thanks by the way, sorry." She got out really fast, by now Wednesday, Valentina and Xavier were getting closer and closer to the infirmary. Wednesday as far as they could tell only had a couple grazes and bruises here and there on her body from the impact of hitting the ground, while Valentina got knocked over pretty badly and probably had a minor concussion and some bruises at the least.
