Best friends or lovers?

Chapter 2

*At home*

Gloria and Barbie were sitting at the table staring at the paper cup.

"So are you going to call him?" Gloria asked pushing the phone towards Barbie. Barbie looked at the phone and back at the cup. She then picked up the phone.

"Maybe I'll give him a chance.." She dialed the number that was scribbled on the cup.

"Hello?" A voice came from the other line.

"Uhm hey, this is the girl from Starbucks. I'm Barbie!" She introduced.

"I'm Daniel, nice to meet you Barbie!" The smile in his tone was very apparent.

"So uhm why did you give me your number?" Barbie questioned.

"Well...I thought you were really cute and I wanted to ask if you wanted to go out sometime...?" Daniel asked nervously. Barbie smiled a little, how sweet a hang out with a new friend! When the call ended Gloria had a big smirk on her face. Barbie looked at her smiling back.

"HE ASKED YOU ON A DATE! THIS IS SO EXCITING!" Gloria exclaimed. Barbie's face twisted into confusion.

"What's a date?" Barbie asked.

"A date is when two people that have feelings for each other go out and get to know each other more!" Gloria explained. Barbie nodded softly.

"Well, I don't know if I have feelings for him... I like him like a friend, he seems nice!" Barbie smiled. Gloria nodded.

"Do you feel this way with all men?" Gloria asked. Barbie thought for a minute.

"Well. They're nice but I don't feel love towards them." Barbie explained. Gloria smiled a little.

"Well, how about girls?" She asked. Barbie's cheeks turned a bit pink.

"I always feel a bit nervous around them. My stomach turns into a knot but in a good way.." Barbie smiled as she spoke.

"Well Barbie, you might like girls! Like you are lesbian!" Gloria lightly took Barbie's hand in support. Barbie smiled and hugged Gloria.

"Thank you for helping me find myself." Barbie smiled.

"Anytime Barbie" Gloria said, smiling back and blushing a little into the hug.
