Embracing the Sadness

In the whisper of the autumn wind so cold,
A melancholy sadness does take hold,
It calms my restless soul, brings solace deep,
For in this bittersweet embrace, I find sleep.

I've come to realize, in this fleeting life,
That happiness can cut just like a knife,
For when it comes, it leaves as swiftly too,
Leaving behind a void, a shade of blue.

Oh, how long has it been since joy's embrace,
Since laughter danced upon my weary face?
The taste of happiness, a distant dream,
Lost in the depths of time's relentless stream.

But in the midst of sorrow's gentle sway,
I find a strange comfort, a familiar way,
Sadness and grief, they warm my weary heart,
A poignant solace, a familiar art.

For in these depths, emotions intertwine,
Creating a tapestry, both dark and fine,
A reminder that life's hues are not just bright,
But shades of darkness, mingling in the night.

So let the autumn wind sing its mournful song,
As I find solace in sadness, where I belong,
For amidst the shadows, my soul finds peace,
In the embrace of sadness, a sweet release.
