A Night of Magic

As the day drew to a close, a weary soul returned home,
With a mind full of thoughts and a heart that longed to roam.
The Christmas holidays had finally begun,
And tonight, on Christmas Eve, the magic would be spun.

She nestled on her bed, ready to rest,
With dreams of Santa's arrival, she was truly blessed.
For even as an adult, she held onto the belief,
That a little touch of magic could bring joy and relief.

In her cozy socks, she found comfort and delight,
As she settled by the window, with the fading daylight.
A cup of cocoa in hand, warm and inviting,
And a favorite book, with words so exciting.

The world outside was covered in a snowy white,
The twinkling lights adorned the peaceful night.
She sipped her cocoa, its sweetness warming her soul,
As she opened her book, letting her imagination unfold.

Within those pages, a world came to life,
Characters danced and stories banished strife.
She lost herself in the words, in the tales untold,
As the clock ticked away, the outside world turned to gold.

She was transported to lands far and wide,
Where dreams and adventures would forever reside.
The magic of Christmas, so tangible and near,
In the pages of her book, it was crystal clear.

As the night grew deeper, her eyes grew heavy,
Yet the joy of this moment made her heart feel so merry.
She closed her book, with a contented sigh,
Knowing that Santa's arrival was drawing nigh.

With a heart full of hope and a mind at peace,
She curled up in bed, ready for dreams to release.
For in this moment, she had found her bliss,
In the warmth of her cocoa, and the stories that kissed.

So as the night embraced her, she drifted away,
On the wings of imagination, where dreams would play.
And as the clock struck midnight, Santa would bring,
The magic of Christmas, where wishes take wing.
