Garden of Fate

In the corner of the library, she sat,
With red lipstick and coat, her presence like a stat,
A coffee cup beside her, a fantasy novel in hand,
Lost in a world, only she could understand.

Confidence radiated from her, like none I'd seen,
Her focus on her book, as if in a dream,
I sat before her, hoping for a smile,
But she seemed unaware, as if in another realm.

Curiosity consumed me, what was she reading?
What realm was she exploring, where was she leading?
Her eyes, black as charcoal, met mine,
A smile and a nod, my heart began to pine.

Back to her book she went, her world so engrossing,
I couldn't help but steal glances, my heart constantly pulsing,
She seemed from another era, her aura captivating,
I clutched my book, the sunlight on her, enchanting.

Then, a peculiar scene unfolded before my eyes,
A man with a hat and mustache, a strange surprise,
He sat beside her, placing a coffee on her cup,
I expected a mess, but nothing was disrupted, what's up?

I looked up, and she was gone, vanished into thin air,
No coffee cup, no girl, just her book lying there,
I approached, flipping through the pages in confusion,
Only to find a red paper, a plea for my contribution.

"If you saw me, you can help me," it read,
I searched high and low, but there was no one to be led,
A peculiar sunlight guided me to a hidden room,
As I entered, it disappeared, consumed by gloom.

A silvery light beckoned, sparkling on the wall,
I followed my intuition, ready to face it all,
And there she stood, dressed in a red gown,
Hair in a bun, strands flowing, a soldier with a frown.

With justice's hand, his fate we'll seal,
The culprit stands before you, revealed,
In your hands, my highness, lies the power,
To bring forth justice in this solemn hour.

In the midst of a garden, grand and vast,
I stood in awe, my heart beating fast,
A woman, regal in a dress of blue,
Stepped down from her throne, her gaze on me drew.

She accused me of my ancestors' murderous sins,
Of stealing her daughter's love, wealth, and grins,
She sought revenge, to make me pay the price,
For the crimes committed by those before my life.

Fear gripped my heart, as she spoke of my fate,
I pinched myself, hoping it was all a mistake,
But the nightmare persisted, her words in the air,
I was destined to suffer for sins I couldn't repair.

"You are the generation," she declared,
"Of one who must pay, for sins so unfair,
Your ancestors, selfish and cruel,
Their murderous ways, a family jewel."

She held me captive in a vast garden of despair,
Claiming my ancestors' actions were unfair,
I fell to my knees, accepting my tragic end,
Embracing the darkness, knowing I couldn't defend.

My heart thumped hard, fear clenched my chest,
Pinching myself, hoping it was just a jest,
A nightmare, I whispered, to keep my composure,
But deep down, I knew, this was no mere closure.

She spoke of my great grandfather's crime,
Of stealing her daughter's love, in a twisted rhyme,
Her wealth taken away, her princess lost,
A tale of betrayal, at an unimaginable cost.

They searched and found him, a clever man indeed,
Claiming to be honorable, he chose to concede,
By his own hand, he met his demise,
Leaving a blood-stained letter, filled with lies.

"I will take my own life," the letter confessed,
"You can never punish me, I attest,
Your daughter fell for me, a foolish embrace,
How I reveled in her blood, leaving no trace."

She crumbled the letter, a sinister grin,
This was her moment, her long-awaited win,
I knew my fate was sealed, there was no escape,
Kneeling in surrender, embracing the darkness, my shape.

The queen called for her sword, ready to strike,
To cut me into pieces, her vengeance she'd hike,
No last wishes, I resigned to my fate,
To atone for the sins of my ancestral trait.

With a heavy breath, the queen swung her sword,
Ending my existence, my life was floored,
She believed no sin should go unpunished, it seemed,
In the biggest garden, where darkness loomed,
I met my end, all the darkness finally released.
