Chapter 12

Hiding behind some rocks on a cliff using my magic so I didn't make a sound I gasp when I see Loki for the first time in a year of mourning him, tears well in my eyes the more I think about how he was alive yet no one knew, how heavily I mourned him but he wasn't even truly gone, I couldn't believe it how in the Odin is he alive? And why was the ring lighting up if he was alive to keep the spell working, he only said he and Thor's ring would light up if I was in trouble, he never said mine would light up for any reason.

"Where is the tesseract?" Thor asks Loki.

"I missed you too" Loki laughs holding his chest laying on his back.

"Do I look to be in a gaming mood?!" Thor growls.

"Oh, you should thank me. With the Bifrost gone how much dark energy did the All father have to must to conjure you here? Your precious earth" Loki asks starting to stand up, Thor drops Mjolnir and grabs Loki by the neck.

"I thought you dead" He whispers.

"Did you mourn?" Loki questions.

"We all did. Luna the worst, this is the first day she left you room since you fell into the abyss, she hasn't talked or played an instrument since, she barely eats, barely sleeps. You hurt her Thor tells Loki making me realise how worried Thor must have been.

"I never meant to" Loki looks at the ground his eyes glossing, all I want to do is hug him and never let go again but Thor needs to talk to him first and he doesn't even know I'm here.

"Our father-"Loki puts his finger up stopping Thor from talking any longer and Thor lets go of him.

"Your father. He did tell you my true parentage, did he not?" Loki starts walking away from Thor and closer to the rocks I was hiding behind.

"We were raised together, we played together, we fought together. Do you remember none of that?"

"I remember a shadow" Loki turns to look at Thor "I remember you tossing me and Luna into an abyss, that I then fell in. I was and should be king"

"So, you take the world I love as recompense for your imagined slights. No, the earth in under my protection, Loki" he points at Loki and walks closer to him while Loki chuckles.

"And youre doing a marvellous job with that. The humans slaughter each other in droves, while you idly threat. I mean to rule them. And why should I not?"

"You think yourself above them"

Loki purses for a second to find an answer "Well, yes"

"Then you miss the truth of ruling, brother. Throne would suit you ill" angrily Loki shoves Thor and walks to the ledge will Thor following him.

"I've seen worlds you've never known about! I have grown, Odinson, in my exile" Loki sneers "Have seen the true power of the tesseract, and when I wield it-"

"Who showed you this power? Who controls the would-be-king?"

"I am a king!"

"Not here! You give up the tesseract! You give up this poisonous dream! You come home" Thor grabs his shoulders.

"I dont have it. You need the cube to bring me home, but I've sent it off I know not where Thor steps back angrily and holds up Mjolnir threateningly, while I start to her something flying fast through the air.

"You listen well, brother. I..." The flying thing runs into Thor throwing him off the ledge.

"I'm listening" Loki answers not even affected by Thor being attacked, making me smile for the first time in ages. Loki turns to look over the ledge while I slowly raise up from behind the rock, I walk closer to Loki tilting my head watching him trying to find if this whole thing is real or am I just going crazy. I get close behind him, taking my hood off and I see his lips turn up into a slight smile, he turns around slowly, and I stare at him wide-eyed "You've never been able to sneak up on me before, sister. Im proud" I run into him full force wrapping my arm tightly around his waist making him stumble back and starting to cry, Loki hugs me back just as tightly smoothing my hair down. He pulls back and takes my face in my hands rubbing my tears away "It's ok. I'm alive. It's ok he whispers, I look into his eyes and see his normally clear green eyes had specks of blue flickering in them, but I couldn't be focus on that.

Y-You're supposed to be d-d-dead. You l-let g-go I whisper barely audible from not taking for so long.

"I know, I'm sorry" he eases us to the ground, and I go back to hugging him while he peers over the edge, I turn my head and look over as well. The flying thing throws Thor to the ground and lands a bit away from him, he looked like a metal robot but then his mask opened up to reveal a man inside.

"Do not touch me again" Thor threatens.

"Then don't take my stuff" The man of metal responds.

"You have no idea what you're dealing with" man of metal looks around for a few seconds.

"Uh, Shakespeare in the park? Doth mother know you weareth her drapes" he speaks.

"Why were you hiding?" Loki asks confused.

"Umm... Thor doesn't know I'm here" I whisper making him smirk "I used my magic on mother and father" I admit to him.

"Following in my footsteps" Loki chuckles "You're becoming mischievous" I smile before hearing Thor again.

"This is beyond you, metal man. Loki will face Asgardian justice" he tells metal man making both Loki and I tense up.

"He gives up the cube, he's all yours. Until then, stay out of my way" Metal man puts his helmet back on then he mutters "Tourist" metal man starts walking away but turns when Thor throws Mjolnir at him making him hit the ground "Ok" Loki sits back watching amused and I shuffle a little further to the edge grabbing Loki's hand, wanting to stay close for as long as possible. Thor grabs Mjolnir and starts spinning it but metal man hits him with a beam coming out of his hand pushing Thor into a tree, metal man flies towards Thor kicking him making the tree brake behind him and Mjolnir falls out of his grip. Thor pushes himself off the ground and summons Mjolnir showing it to the sky where a giant lighting beam strikes it during in power then he sends the power towards the metal man, somehow metal man stays standing barely harming his suit.

"Power at 400% capacity" I hear a crackling voice say, meaning metal man absorbed the power gaining my interest in the technology of the suit.

"How about that?" metal man uses the extra power to hit Thor making him fly slightly backwards but he sticks his landing, they both get into stands to attack each other before they push themselves into the air. Metal man grabs a hold of Thor and flies upward and into a nearby mountain, I couldn't see what was happening for a while before they fell back to the clearing hitting trees over. Thor punches metal man in the head and metal man goes to punch him back but Thor grabs a hold of his forearm and starts squeezing the metal slightly breaking the suit, but metal man points his palm at Thor and hits him with another beam then he headbutts him, but Thor headbutts him back throwing metal man back but he lands. Metal man grabs a hold of Thor's shoulders throwing him into a tree, Thor gets back up and they start fighting again, Thor throws metal man onto his back at his feet then summons Mjolnir. Right as he was about to hit metal man, he uses his thrusters to run into Thor's feet making him faceplant, metal man flies back towards Thor and punches him in the back of the head, they get ready to attack each other again before a round object hits both of their chests' then flies back to its owner.

"Hey!" a man yells from on top of a tree trunk that had fallen over during the fight in a blue, white and red suit, with a blue helmet. The round object looked like a shield that he put on his arm "That's enough!" he jumps down off the tree to stand in front of Thor "Now, I don't know what you plan on doing here"

"Who's that?" I ask Loki.

"I've come here to put an end to Loki's schemes!" Thor tells him.

"The Captain" Loki growls.

"Then prove it. Put the hammer down" The captain orders.

"Um, yeah, no! Bad call he loves his hammer!" Metal man warns but Thor hits him to the side with his hammer.

"You want me to put the hammer down?!" Thor jumps into the air wielding Mjolnir and goes to hit the captain but he puts up his shield to protect himself, Thor bangs Mjolnir on the shield and it sends out a shock wave that clears the area even more. I quickly put up a shield wall before it hit us, the shield was a bit glitchy, but it protected us. It made a pink glow so I quickly put it down after the wave, so Thor doesn't see.

"Are we done here?" Captain asks, while they all catch their breath.
