Dana's perspective
"Oh fuck, I say out loud accidentally. "What?, and keep quiet remember?" Leslie says as she hushes me. "The bag with the batterie for the camera, I dropped it when we got attacked in the observation center a few days ago!" Leslie's face falls as she realizes what this means. Jenny comes around the corner right as I reveal it. "Are you shitting me?" She asks defeatedly. "Me and Jerry have the closet set up for ambush, I'll tag along with you guys well he gets it rigged" we slip on our boots, and I catch a glimpse of our wounds as we do so. "Let's try not to add to these" I say as I point to my bloody bandaged breast, "that would be the plan yes" Leslie says sarcastically as Jenny lets out an exasperated giggle.
Jenny's perspective
I can't believe we're doing this, like a dog to its own vomit we trudge our way back to the very location we almost got gutted in a few days back. The slash across my shoulder from the blade of that knife still throbs with pain, the white hand towel wrapped around it barely a suitable treatment. Once again, the silhouette of the looming structure pops into view as we crest the trail, accept, something is.. off. There appears to be a new shape added to the buildings silhouette, hanging above the entrance. "Can you shine your light on that? Dana asks, and as soon as I do, I immediately regret it.
Dana's perspective
I need to learn to keep my mouth shut, because as soon as Jenny's light catches the absolute horror in front of us, I wish I'd just left well enough alone. I manage to get out a "LSLIE DONT LOOK" trying in a vain attempt to spare my best friend the sight above us, but it only makes her even more curious, and as her blood curdling scream fills the night, I finally get a chance to take in what I'm beholding. Tied to the eve of the awning of the observatory's roof, hanging from his own disemboweled intestines, his body carved up like a jack-o-lantern, is ricky. I fall backwards into the observatory and hurry Jenny and les in as well, shutting the door behind us as I hold back vomit. I'm really glad I didn't follow him earlier. "LESLIE BEHIND YOU" Jenny suddenly screams, I don't get time to process her words as I spin around to see a dark figure begin to charge Leslie
Leslie's perspective.
My head is spinning, Jenny and Dana's shocked conversation blends into the background, Ricky. I knew he was hiding something, and based on the utter state of his body, it must have been something pretty important. Fuck! Why wouldn't he just tell me? I barley register Dana's eyes widening in shock in my peripheral as I'm pulled out my daydream by Jenny's mouth opening to form a scream. I turn around to see an axe raised above and about to be taken down on me! I throw my hand in front of me instinctively, and as I realize what I've just done, I can only look on in helpless horror as the blade of the ax glides through the webbing between my fingers and splits my hand clean down the middle like a piece of kindling. I scream and wail as Jenny grabs me by the waist and starts pulling me, running, towards the exit, but they rip me away from her and hold me to their chest. I look down briefly to see the horrific sight of my mangled hand, blood pouring down it like a faucet and pooling beneath me. Dana jumps out the broken windows and grabs a nearby fire poker from one of the outdoor fireplaces, charging me and the killer with it, he tries to shield himself with me, but thank god for me, Dana was a javelin tosser in high school and sends it into their shoulder. They grunt in pain, and before I can take my opportunity to run, they grab my left arm, bend it over their knee, and, *SnAP* I squeal in agony, kicking them in the crotch and finally breaking away from their grasp as Jenny and Dana brace me between them and we rush towards the exit, just as we are knocked to the ground by the SECOND killer.
