'Well this is awkward' Izuku thought as he took a sip of his water. Looking around the cafe, he could feel a warm and friendly aura surrounding the other tables. But their table was filled with awkward silence and shifty looks towards the monkey Faunus from both Blake and himself. "Why are we here?" He asked

"Finally, they speak! Nearly two days and you both have given me nothing but small talk and weird looks!" In response to his claim, Blake gave him a weird look "Yeah, like that" The Faunus nodded

"You didn't answer my question" Izuku said "Why are we here?" He repeated

"Well, I wanted to make some friends here in Vale, and you two were the first people I ran into who didn't want to arrest me" The boy shrugged "Name's Sun Wukong. My friends call me Sun"

"Blake" His friend introduced herself.

"Izuku" Izuku introduced himself, not wanting to be rude.

Silence filled the table yet again, but unlike last time, it was broken fairly quickly "So you want to know about us?" Blake question.

Sun nodded his head, but Izuku quickly interjected "Should we really trust him? Some random stranger you just met?" He asked with an uncertain look on his face "When he's not trying to talk to you, he's trying to ask me questions about my world"

"I'm curious. Sue me." Sun shrugged. "Wouldn't you want to find out more about a kid from another dimension?"

Izuku sighed and put his face in his hands while Blake shook her head. She wanted to get this off her chest for a long time. "Sun, are you familiar with the White Fang?" She asked.

Sun scoffed "Of course! I don't think there's a Faunus on the planet who hasn't heard of them." He leaned back on his chair and shook his head "Stupid, holier-than-thou creeps that use force to get whatever they want" He reached over to his banana smoothie and grabbed it "Bunch of freaks, if you ask me" He finished, taking a sip of his drink

"I was once a member of the White Fang" Blake told him with a blank face

Sun choked on his drink and entered a coughing fit. He put his drink down and quickly grabbed a napkin to wipe his face. Once the coughing stopped, he stared at Blake with a shocked look "Wait! Hold on! Time out. You were a member of the White Fang?" He whispered, looking around the café to make sure no one heard them.

Blake nodded "That's right" She confirmed before taking a sip of her tea "I was a member for most of my life, actually. You could say I was born into it" She sighed and looked out the window with a faint smile "Back then, things were different. In the ashes of war, the White Fang was meant to be a symbol of peace and unity between Humans and the Faunus. Of course, despite being promised equality, the Faunus were subjected to discrimination and hate. Humanity still thought of us as lesser beings. And so, the White Fang stood up as a voice of our people. And I was there. I was at the front of every rally. I took part in every boycott." Blake let out a dry chuckle and shook her head "I actually thought we were making a difference. But I was just being a youthful optimist." A grim look appeared on her face as she looked down at her tea. "Then, five years ago, our leader stepped down, and a new one took his place. A new leader, with a new way of thinking. Suddenly, our peaceful protests were replaced with organized attacks. We were setting fire to shops that refused to serve us, hijacking cargo from companies that used Faunus labor. And the worst part was, it was working. We were being treated like equals. But not out of respect. We were being treated like equals out of fear." She took a deep breath to recollect herself and continued with her story "So, I left. I decided to no longer use my skills to aid in their violence, and instead, I would dedicate my life to becoming a Huntress. So here I am: a criminal hiding in plain view, all with the help of a little black bow" She wiggled her ears, letting her bow twitch.
