My mother signed me up for Camp Sunny. It turns out that the sun never sets there. I was used to times like this. I am from Alaska anyway. It's always sunny in the camp as you may have inferred. It also have a flower field and some giant birch trees. They make up the forest next to us. But there is some stray trees. There is also 4 giant houses nearby. But they are not part of the camp.
The camp is a bunch of tiny white houses for everyone. They can hold 4 children at a time. There is a tree next to each house. Then in front of the houses is a bark chip box. With monkey bars and a slide. There is also a bunch of daisies next to the box.
There is a field located to the west of the camp. The field is covered in daisies. No trees in sight. South of the camp is a parking lot located 1 mile (1.60934 kilometers) from the camp. We got here on bikes from the parking lot. East of the camp is the birch forest. We are not allowed in there under any circumstances. North of the camp is the 4 big houses. The 4th one was actually a 3 story house.
We don't know who these houses go to. But we are allowed in there if we are in danger. Which confused me. Why are we allowed in the houses but not the forest? I got my answer later. Surprisingly there was no wolves here.
It was 4pm and one of my house mates wanted to see the field. So she went out, and I watched. She can over to the field but then I noticed. Two animals, yellowish wolves, in the field. I froze because I couldn't do anything. They were chasing her towards the big houses. I called out for a camp counselor but. It was too late.
These creatures could shape-shift to look like wolves or humanoids. And they were faster in the shadows. The big houses were covered in shade. The humanoid creatures jumped on her and started eating her. Tearing apart her limbs. Ripping the skin and flesh off her bones. It was horrifying to watch, I felt like hurling my lunch.
The other campers screamed and ran inside their houses. I ran towards the field. The always sunny, no shade, field. The humanoids were slow in the sun. So they wouldn't try for me. The rest of the campers thought. They went into house after house. Because there were trees surrounding the houses. They were fast due to the shade.
I stayed in that field for a week. Until authorities got suspicious why I was out there. There was a cop car that drove around every 12pm. He couldn't see the blood on the house windows. But he could see me out there. Rocking back and fourth, gaze on the big houses. Contemplating giving up.
I was finally taken from my spot in the field. I told them about the creatures that ate my entire group. The entire group of Camp Sunny. When they wanted to investigate, I told them not to go in the shadows.
They get you there after all.

//Author's note//
I've had several nightmares were I was eaten. And this time I forcefully woke myself. As to not be eaten.
