It was supposed to be a normal winter. Well, that's what you could hope.
The town we lived next to had a vampire residing in it. He would kidnap folks, but I don't think he ever killed them. They say it's a fucking miracle you come back from that place. Even then, you'll be injured some way. The people that make it back don't speak of what happened though.
Lately, our country has been at war with Morovia. Morovia used to be our ally up until the World War 1 happened. Our county backstabbed the two countries that died. One however, was unintentional, we couldn't protect them without being destroyed.
We Penlandians run for cover from the artillery shells they throw at our cities. There's been countless attacks, cities destroyed, but the town with the vampire had never been hit. Most people want to move there, since it seems safe. But mother's moving us away from that town.
Ever since the vampire stole my younger brother, and killed my father, we've been hiding. He's out to get us, so we gave away my youngest brother for his own survival. I hope he's safe in Caldonia, which is across the continent. I don't know why the vampire is out to get us. I just hope my other brother is dead, so he's not suffering. (Being dead is better option)

Ever since I've been captured, I've been living with a Ranger. A murderous Ranger at that, sleeps with pistols. The vampire said he wanted my sister because whatever he was looking for wasn't in me. I don't know what he was looking for, and this confused me. But at the time I was too scared to ask.
We live on the far side of the mansion, away from the scientist. Sometimes a scream will be so loud I can hear it from here... sadist. The vampire feeds on his victims, them gives them to that damned sadistic man. I wonder why the vampire didn't give me to him... but I won't ask.
There is a vampiress that lives on the fifth floor. She's one of the higher ranking monsters in this wretched place. Though, she doesn't seem to like it. Fifth floor is where the scientist actually is. The vampiress seems to be fed up with all the screams despite being a sadist herself. Probably because she can actually see what becomes of the person.
Sometimes you'll hear her repeat the word "holes" over and over. I think she's losing her mind faster than I am. I kinda feel bad she has to see whatever the scientist is doing. But I shouldn't feel bad, I know what she does.
She takes female humans and... well... she's horny. Often times the female humans end up free to go without a scratch. But on occasion, a few will be a masochist, and end up in bandages. It's kinda weird seeing the fact that the vampiress doesn't really kill her victims inside the mansion. She kills victims on missions only.
Alas, but lately, the "dog" has died. Zippy the "dog" had fallen to his death. I think it was suicide, the others think it was accident. You see, the vampire likes the idea of a pet. But he's... he doesn't buy normal pets. You'd think he got a snake, no. He transformed a human into a short, pale, frizzy haired creature with many blue bubble cluster eyes. He lets Winny dress them.
