Chapter 16:
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
"What the hell! I was so worried about you!" My best friends voice shouted over the line. "God I know I'm so sorry I haven't called, I've been busy with things." My voice trails off. I go over to my closet, opening it, searching the ground. "Don't give me that bullshit, you just forgot haven't you?" Her voice was tinted with a bit of annoyance. I sigh, closing the doors then going over to my bed, bending down and searching under it. "Yeah, I kind of did." I laugh, standing up straight, becoming frustrated. "See I knew it." A short laugh escapes her lips.
I walk over to my mirror, examining myself while fixing ringlets over my shoulders, "I'm sorry Taylor it's just, a lot of things have been happening, I was eventually going to call you." I huff walking over to my door, opening it while peeking my head out the door frame. "Sorry for my bitterness, but it's just wasn't like you, you would talk to me almost every day, then you left suddenly and I had know idea were you went." She sighs. I walk across the hall, opening the bathroom door, searching inside then sighing loudly, "I'm really truly sorry babe."
"It's fine, I can't be mad at you forever." She giggles. My feet patter against the carpet as I scurry down the hallway to the front closet. I open the door, finding nothing, cursing under my breath. "What's up with you?" Taylor questions over the line, "Where are you anyways?" My fingers find my hair as I tuck a strand behind my ear, "Hold on a second." I take the phone away from my ear, walking back down the hallway,
"Liam!" My voice travels through the house, echoing off the plastered walls. "Yeah what is it?" I hear him shout back from his room. "Have you seen my heels? I've been looking for them everywhere." He pauses for a moment, but then I hear him call out again, "The silver or the black ones?" I stop in the middle of the hallway, "Erm, the black ones." I scrunch my eye brows together, waiting for a response. "There in my closet." I scrunch my nose,
Why the hell are they in there?
I make my way to Liam's room, pulling the phone back up to my ear, "Sorry about that." I mutter. "So I'm guessing your in London at Liam's? And looking for your heels?" She questions, giggling a bit. "Yeah, that's why I left school. Liam, Harry, and Niall came to pick me up." I felt my body go numb when I mentioned his name. It's LouBear's birthday party tonight and of course, Niall was going to be there. A little bit of every emotion was hitting me right now, Pain, Sorrow, Nervousness, Heartache, Butterflies, Happiness, and Jittery. He was making me feel all of these. But especially,
Sadness.
This was the first time i would be seeing him in about two weeks, and I've missed him every single waking moment. His cheeky smile, his contagious laugh, his warm touch, and just him. I've been repeating in my head of what I'm planning on saying to him tonight, and honestly,
I'm scared shitless.
"Aw that's sweet." I jump, remembering I was still on the line with Taylor, "So what's up with the heels?"
"Erm-" I stutter, trying too calm my fast beating heart. "It's Louis Birthday tonight." I walk up to Liam's door, leaning my body weight on the door frame.
"That sounds like fun. Well I'm going to go before I run up my phone bill with this long distance call." She giggles, "Alright babe, I'll Skype you tomorrow." I laugh.
We exchange good byes as I hang up the phone, tossing it on Liam's unmade bed. My eyes find him at his closet, rummaging through numerous of clothes. His face was twisted into frustration as he picks up each shirt, looking at them intently. I giggle, walking over past him, retrieving my heels from the closet.
