Chapter 7

Rocky POV

I went over to Drew and Austin's apartment because today was a free day we weren't filming at all. I really needed to talk to Drew about my feelings with Rudy.

As I arrived to their apartment I knocked on the door, Austin answered it.

"Hey Rocky I heard about your awesome singing skills from JD surprised you didn't give me some lessons"Austin says dapping me up as I walked in.

"Yeah man you're just going to have to catch up can I come in"I asked as Austin stepped to the side.

"Of course man come on"Austin said letting me in.

"Hey by any chance is Drew here"I asked he's the only one I can trust with my feelings right now something about him makes me trust him.

"Oh yeah that door to your left is his room"Austin said pointing to where Drew's room was.

I walked over to where Austin said Drew's room was, and knocked on his door.

"Come in"I heard from the other side of the door he probably thought I was Austin.

I walked in the room and Drew looked surprised that I was here.

"Rocky hey what are you doing here"Drew said tidying up his room.

"I need to talk with you if that's okay"I said very nervous.

"Yeah of course have a seat"he said pointing to an empty chair.

I sat down in the chair and Drew looked at me if he was determined to figure out if something was wrong.

"Okay so I know you're not gay but I need advice about Rudy"I said getting straight to the point.

"Okay lay it on me"Drew said fanning himself.

"I really like Rudy and I want to date him I really do but I feel like I'm just going to have big relationship issues from my past relationships blocking that growth"I said being honest with him.

"Rocky what are you implying here"Drew said kind of confused.

"I feel like trauma from my past relationships is going to ruin things between me and Rudy and I don't want that"I said repeating myself.

"Look the best thing you can do is try to forgive yourself usually when people have some type of trauma in their life they hold on to the trauma instead of trying to forgive themselves if you don't try to forgive yourself Rocky you're not going to get past it"Drew said explaining how to get past my problem.

"Like I said I really want to forgive myself but I just can't bring myself to do it even if I tried I could stay up all night and I couldn't do it I tried"I said starting to tear up.

"Rocky don't cry, Rudy's a great guy okay he will wait on you if he has to and you will hear it multiple times from him, you have nothing to worry about with him just try to forgive yourself whenever you can"Drew said that actually cheered me up and gave me a little more confidence to ask out Rudy.

"Thanks man that really helped"I said walking out of his bedroom.

"Yeah no problem anytime"he called after me.

Rudy POV

I've been looking for Rocky all day but I can't seem to find him. I saw Jonathan chilling on the couch so I decided to ask him if he'd seen Rocky.

"Yo JD have you seen Rocky"I asked him.

"I actually saw him leave a couple hours ago so I don't know where he is but I know he left"he replied to my question.

"Well since he's not here I could use your advice"I said lowering my voice.

"Okay what you got"he said lowering his voice with me.

"I really like Rocky and I want to ask him out but I don't know how"I said getting straight to the point.

"Well we all knew you liked Rocky but I can say it is a surprise to know that you want to ask him out"JD said.

"Jonathan get to the point do you have any advice on how I can ask him out"I said trying to get him to stop joking around.

"Look Rudy all I'm going to say is be yourself when you ask him don't try to change who you are because if he likes you then he'll like you for you but I will also say be careful he has had a troubled past with relationships so take it slow with him"Jonathan said giving me actual tips.

"Okay yeah be yourself and take it slow"I said repeating his tips.

"and when I say take it slow I mean be patient with him if he's not ready to do something you're ready for wait for him to be ready and I know you will already do that because you're a really kind guy but still keep it in mind at all times"Jonathan says.

"Okay so if you were Rocky and I asked you out for a picnic in a field of sunflowers watching the sunset would you think that was a cool date"I said asking Jonathan honestly I was planning on asking Rocky to have a picnic with me in a field of sunflowers watching the sunset.

"I mean yeah if I was Rocky I would really enjoy that"Jonathan answered honestly.

"Cool because I think I am going to ask him to do that as our first date"I said it's really basic and he might actually enjoy it.

"All right I'm your wingman if you have any questions you come to me don't do anything dumb before discussing with me"Jonathan says in a deep voice.

"Yes sir Jonathan sir"I said in a deep voice doing a salute.

For next few hours I was scrolling on my phone through my social media apps before I heard the front door open and I heard Rocky's voice wherever he went he sounded excited I hope he's not crushing on somebody else because that would ruin my date.
