It's a beautiful day inside the Megapolis forest, the sound of whips and clash are being heard in the bamboo forest.

In the distance, we see three certain people in the forest, one who has a yellow hair with red tips on his hair with his signature smile watching his tsuguko train with his best friend.

The natural white haired male smirked holding a kunai on both of his hands and his opponent infront of her who has pink and green hair with a sword that looked like a whip as both of them charged at each other.

The woman slashed her whip sword towards the male who deflected her attacks with both of his kunais as she is about to give a final blow towards him, he kicked away her weapon as it went far away from them.

She held her hand and quickly dashed towards him and punched him, he attempted to defend himself with his upper elbow as a shield, he was pushed back with force and quickly stopped himself.

"That's enough sparring!" The man with yellow hair and red tips shouted with glee as the woman bowed to the white haired and shirtless male.

"You did well, (Name)! You as well, Tengen, my friend!" The said male Tengen Uzui smiled with pride as he turned his back holding his upper elbow in pain as he groaned lightly while the said woman (Name) Karonji ate sakura mochis.

She squealed in delight.

"Are you all excited for the new year, Rengoku-san?" (Name) asked with her eyes shining like the stars, the said male named Kyujoru Rengoku smiled brightly "I'd love to! But me and my little brother decided to celebrate it together as family!" He beamed patting his little brother who smiled in a shy motion. She nodded smiling, she didn't bother asking Tengen about because she knows that he will celebrate the new years with his three beautiful wives.

She wiped the small sweat from her forehead, quickly folding her katana and sheaths it in place and wave goodbye to her master, his little brother and companion, wearing a smile on her face as she ran towards her house with a sword on her hip.

Running inside her empty house, she remembered her family used to go out for new years as (Name) figure fell slightly, decided to celebrate new years with her friends instead of her family, her friends were on the food stalls selling pigsy's famous noodles, quickly changing to her casual clothes, walk towards her mirror and clapped both of her cheeks softly before attaching her sheathed sword to her hip.

Until she saw a neatly folded scarf on her bed as she almost forgot that she was supposed to give it to her six-eared monkey friend for New Years, since the scarf he wore is a little.. too old, she grab the scarf and held it gently scared that she'll will ruin it. She smiled excitedly and walk outside of her house blushing slightly as she began to think about her friend having a new scarf.

She walked towards the dojo he currently resided in and, grew nervous as she gently knock at the entrance door and wait for the door to open.

'I hope he likes the new scarf I give him!' She thought while blushing looking at the folded scarf in her hands, she was interrupted by a sound of the door opening as she lit up.

"Hey bright eyes, what brings you here?" Said a male voice as she made eye-contact with the simian who has a genuine smile plastered on his face, she felt her heart quicken it's pace as she blushed even more "Ah! I just wanted to see how you're doing! Before I celebrate New Year's with my friends!" She said as she puff out some smoke from her ears.

He chuckled "Macaque, I- uh- I wanted to give you this as an exchange for giving me those green socks you gave me last christmas!" She exclaimed, handing out a red scarf that is similar to his, Macaque's eyes widen slightly as she looked away in embarrassment.

She heard a chuckle in front of her, turning her head back towards macaque who has a grin on his making her blush even more, it was the first time he received a gift from a mortal(-ish) friend for who knows how long, (Name) is so genuine and kind towards him.

Treated him equally. That's what he needed right now. Treated as a.. friend.

Right, friend.

"Come on in, don't want you to get cold outside." He said shaking his head, motioning (Name) to follow him to which she obliged, he gently took the scarf from her hands and inspect it "I'll take good care of the scarf, I'll treasure them the same way you treasure the sock I gave you as a gift." He said smiling his heart out.

Later that day, (Name) and Macaque were talking about how they were, mainly (Name) was doing all the talking while macaque just listened to her rambling, slightly admiring her and her physique and her bright eyes.

Eventually, (Name) had to leave making Macaque frown as they hug each other goodbye, she promise that they will hangout soon before giving macaque her signature smile before leaving.

Not before Macaque gave her a kiss on the forehead before she leaves, he left her flustered afterwards.
