((It's been a year since I've updated! Being a fanfic author immediately puts some kind of curse on you, so life has been a bit turbulent, but the show must go on. I mentioned on my message board that a lot of this book was pre-written but unfortunately I lost all those chapters I'd built up in my notes app when I changed devices :/ Just wanted to give you guys a chapter if anyone's still reading, I doubt it but ya never know! I know I hate when the fanfic I'm reading ends abruptly so I can't do that to yall!!- Peace, Immajinbuu))
As they entered the house they shared, Y/n smiled, she looked around and really took in the atmosphere. How could she leave this behind? This house felt so much more like a home ever since she and Buu started living together. Buu was surprisingly cleanly in his habits, so more often than not he'd put things back where they belong, patch up any holes he punched in the wall and he learned the hard way about leaving food laying around when a stampede of ants over took a soda he left out. That made for an unpleasant spit take.
Those poor ants.
All these memories made her feel like taking up Beerus's offer was the wrong choice.
While she was standing there for a solid minute reminiscing, Buu sat down on the couch and started up his video game console.
Y/n gave a soft chuckle as she sat beside him. He pulled her closer and left one arm around her while the screen loaded. Though his expression may not have shown it, he had so much affection for his little baker. Y/n was more than just his girlfriend. She was the person who kept him at bay.
It was always nice to end the night off lazily nuzzling into Buu's firm chest, and this was exactly what she needed after that big scare with Frieza.
Buu's eyes hadn't left the screen until Y/n made a soft murmur of realization, and she rutted around in her pocket and pulled out some cash.
"Here ya' go, Buu," Y/n offered him the cash, it had to be a couple hundred zeni, she still considered Buu to be a big help around the bakery so she gave him small payments every now and then.
Buu looked down at her hand. He was almost hesitant to accept it. it seemed he took Y/n's hand into his own much larger hand, and he closed her hand around the money before uttering.
"Keep it,"
"It's for you," Y/n offered a warm smile that stirred so many emotions in the Majin.
"I know," Buu said in his usual gruff, low voice.
Y/n sighed contentedly, "Well if you won't take it, at least let me buy you ice cream tomorrow," she said as she leaned in and planted a soft kiss on his cheek.
Buu's face tinted a bit, and his pupils shrank. Being kissed by her always made him blush. It felt unfitting for the being who once proclaimed himself to be the universe's sole proprietor.
"Please... Y'know...it takes one hand to wash the other," she said, "You're always looking out for me so I try to be good to you too," Y/n laughed a little, "Even if you're a jerk," she felt her own cheeks get hot at the cheesy banter.
Buu gave her an unamused look. His face was always difficult to read because on the outside, he was rigid, but internally, his feelings were clear. He loved Y/n. There was nothing that mattered more than Y/n. Loosing her would hurt. These were things he didn't usually communicate through words because it was difficult to articulate.
Y/n just knew Buu loved her because he hasn't killed her yet, and he seems to have no intentions of leaving her house.
Buu took Y/n's face in his hands, and his hands alone were about the size of her head. He kept looking at her with that stare until his expression faltered. It softened. He looked at her with genuine affection for her in his eyes.
