Chapter 16. Underwater attack

A few days earlier, after Kakyoin defeated Death 13, the crusaders visited a solitary island where Joseph said they would meet a certain person they knew.

Arriving at the place, they had a chat with the right person, who turned out to be none other than Avdol's father. Polnareff was very sad remembering the death of an old friend, which is why he went for a walk around the island and stumbled upon an enemy stand. The stand could grant 3 wishes like a fairy tale about Aladdin. And Polnareff decided to check if the wish works. The first turned out to be simple, a mountain of wealth. While Kakyoin surveys the space of the ship, Joseph, noticing a telephone set, decides to make an important call. Everyone around is silent.

The call starts. The number is transferred abroad directly to America. Joseph answers. It was Suzie Q. It's mostly about the business trip and the outfits that Suzie can't choose for the upcoming event. But then Joseph starts talking about Holly. Suzie replies that Holly called her yesterday, saying that she had a cold and was a little weak during her illness.

"Is this an important conversation?" Asks Polnareff in a low voice.

"Of course. Miss Suzie is quite an energetic woman, so if she doesn't receive a call within a certain time, she might become suspicious and go to Japan in person." Avdol answers.

"So she wasn't warned?" Now asks Kakyoin.

"Of course. Mr. Joestar didn't want to stress her out and decided to lie. She shouldn't know the truth."
