I'm starting this collection of my mind because I can no longer keep my thoughts locked away.
And to experiment with some Magicks/Rituals, or tap into the cosmic powers around me.
And to log any interesting dreams I have from time to time.
These first few pages will just be Wicca notes. The rest, I have no idea :)"Magic". The concept of this force exhilarates me greatly, yet terrifies me as well...
"Magic is the projection of natural energies to produce needed effects."
"Magic is simply science we do not understand yet."
Two very different logics here, but perhaps they are both correct?
Heh, even in the Bible magic exists...
When Moses went to the Pharaoh to demand his people to be freed, God lent Moses some of His might.
But, the magi were able to duplicate most of the miracles. In fact, only when Moses and the Staff that God bestowed upon him were together did the miracles happen. Anywho. There are three types of energies.
Personal Power, Earth Power, and Divine Power. ( I have also come across Cosmic Power, Time's Power, and Dimensional Power.)Personal Power:
What gives us life and nourishment. Eating, sleeping, sunlight, sex, any sort of recreational activity that you enjoy that recharges your batteries. Whereas we use it up by working, childbirth, or any stressful experience that feels "draining".
In Magic, Personal Power is aroused, infused with a specific purpose, released, and directed towards its goal.Earth Power: (Elements)
That which resides within our planet and in its natural products. Stones, trees, wind, flames, water, crystals and scents all possess unique, specific power that can be used during a magical ritual.Divine Power:
The manifestation of personal power and earth power. This is the energy that exists within the Goddess and the God, the life force. The source of universal power that created everything in existence.Cosmic Power:
If Divine is the medium for things to take place, then taking the divine out of the equation, you are left with the raw cosmic forces of the universe. The "building blocks"Time's Power:
"When" the event happens. You cannot change the past, but you can alter your memories of it. You cannot control the future, but you can plan for it. All we have is today, that's all time will ever allow it to be. There's a time for everything.Dimensional Power:
"Where" the event happens. This one is open for debate because of different interpretations of the word "Dimension",
But, for Magic to me, it's more like a "pocket dimension" effect. Or rather, designating a physical point (circle) for the magic to take place.Intellect and Willpower:
I'm using the terminology from role playing games like DnD.
But Intellect in this context, is your Mana/Ether/TP essentially. Any spell has a certain energy requirement that needs to be met in order to cast, higher INT means you have a greater well to draw power from.
Willpower is similar, but instead of it being your raw resource, it is the ability to use it efficiently. Another term for it could be Determination. My Personal view of how magic might work:
#1 Harness your inner power, visualize the energy running through your body.
#2 Either with your own ability, or with a "tool", channel your power into the goal of the spell.
#3 Breathe and Concentrate.
#4 Tap into the cosmic/divine power that surrounds us and harness it towards the goal.
#5 Visualize, breathe, Concentrate.
#6 Focus.
(Through trial and error, I have also found that the day and time you attempt to perform the magic is different based on the desired outcome.)Notes on Wiccan Magic:
Although very interesting, I don't think it's what I'm looking for... It's very much linked to your connection with the gods and goddesses and oneself, along with herbs and oils and rituals and tools... For now, any magic I should try is more meditation and working on controlling my personal energy.I wonder if there is a way to just tap into the cosmic powers that surround us without the need of ritual and religion. (Spoilers, it's aether)
Although I do enjoy the main principles and connecting with nature, the sun, moon, stars, and taking care of the planet to live in peace and tranquility.
The rituals that some deities require I don't feel is worth it.. And always keep in mind that any story told is only half true, just one side of the coin.
However, absorbing the sun and moon energy, and controlling my own energy, I have found to be an invaluable tool that I have been able to add to my belt. The next couple pages are notes on rune magic, I don't have a good ability to show the runes themselves, but I can try and break down the theory.
(#) is this a hashtag, or is it a pound sign?
($£¢€¥) different symbols for money.
(π√∆✓§°~.~) I don't even know what § is."Runes shalt thou find, and fateful signs,
That the king of singers colored,
And the mighty gods have made;
Full strong the signs, full mighty the signs
That the ruler of gods doth write."
HovamolIt can be debated whether the Nordic Runes were just an alphabet, or if they hold deeper meaning and power behind the symbols.
But, is it not called "spelling" for a reason?Next up is what I feel calling out to me more, Rune magick. The art/practice of pouring your energy and spell needs into various signs or symbols with various meanings.
I'm changing the terminology from "Runes" to "Sigils" for sake of better understanding.I have four pages in here with different runes, colors, suggestions I had learned from a small book on runes (quite literally, it was tiny and thick, but the knowledge was good as a base.)

Hieroglyphs and emoticons are essentially the same as sigils, difference being the intent that the artist is trying to convey.
If you get a bag of runes, one of each type, and jumble them up and pour them out of the bag, it is the same as using a tarot deck.
Both are types of divination, or even reading tea leaves is another example.Notes on the Elder Futhark Runes:
