My mom, thanks to medical advances and a strong belief in God, somehow was able to walk again. All of her nerves are still fucked up and the doctors were flabbergasted as to how she was able to re learn how to move her legs.
She was able to walk with the aide of leg braces, essentially they were like a pair of bionic legs that were fitted over her normal legs that she could take off and put on as she liked, and after some years of walking like that she went to see a South African faith healer at one of the churches in our area, he gave her the confidence that God was ready to heal her, and one night when she had to use the bathroom, without even thinking about anything, she got out of bed, relaized in the hallway that she was walking and then fell after realizing what the hell just took place.
And then she wanted me to meet this guy while he was still visiting, so being the good son I am, I went to see what he was like.I don't recall too much from that day, but I remember he came over to me and prayed for me, and all i could feel during it was this incredible, warming sensation from all around me, as he was praying and speaking.
It's even safe to say that experience altered my reality forever.Something we as a family learned at that time, is that a lot of churches aren't really into modern day miracles.
My mom always having strong roots in Christianity wanted to share this amazing thing with the religious community, but everywhere she went, she got laughed at and demonized, and after that moment I walked away from organized religion. It is/was foolhardy of myself to even admit this, but I started learning and researching all I could about the various religions of the world at that point to attempt to harness the powers of, let's use clerics and paladins as examples, miraculous or healing energies.
In my studies, there were plentiful reports of people doing both amazing and terrible things under the guise of "God". I started looking for a more personal experience to harness those abilities for myself with little to no avail. But I still kept learning and researching and studying on my own, like I always have, and then something clicked in my brain.
Magick. In the bible and a lot of religious texts they often say that it is of the devil or a dark thing in general. That if you use it or practice it that you will be condemned for the rest of eternity.
Well, after coming across Taoism and Buddhism, my research changed entirely. Simultaneously I was also studying up on wiccans and other more nefarious arts, but Wicca magick I felt/feel a strong connection with. So taking some of this and some of that, I came to the conclusion that, nothing in our natural world is inherently "evil" or "bad" but rather, it's nothing more than pious highbrow societies (religious examples) trying to constantly be "better" than the rest of the people who don't believe what you believe.Magick however, is a lot more psychological than physical.
And the more you learn, the stronger it becomes.
"Innocence and ignorance, they both go hand in hand. I'm not sure if I'm right, but I hope you'll understand."I'm not saying there isn't physical magick out there, I just have yet to be successful in producing any results in my research thus far dear reader.
