Miyo's POV

"Miyo, hey, Miyo," ate Mik tapped my shoulder.

"What now?" Kainis. Kanina pa yun tapik ng tapik sa akin eh. Kitang may headset sa tenga at ayaw magpaistorbo.

"Don't give me that look. I was wondering who we're about to meet. Oh I can't wait to get friends here! Philippines is kind of interesting," she said habang tumitingin sa labas ng bintana.

We're inside the car mom got from I don't know where. And yeah, we're not from here. Mom said may imimeet kami na classmate niya.

"Well now that you said it, I'm curious as well. Sana nga lang maging friendly sila pagkakita ng pagmumukha mo. That face? I'd kick it out of the house by the time I lay eyes on it hahahahaha!" I laughed out loud. Teasing her is part of my daily routine. Sadista na kung sadista.

"Miyo," Mom warned.

"Sorry mom... pfft— hahahaha!" Still can't stop!

"So you think I can't beat you at your own game? Well guess what? Yang mukha mong yan, naku po! Walang babae ang magkagusto sa iyo! And by time time I lay my eyes on you," emphasize niya, "Baka masampal ko na agad yan! Masungit pa, pangit pa hah!" Ate Mik retorted.

Crap her.

"Fu—"

"What is that I'm about to hear, young man?" Tumingin si mom sa rearview mirror.

"Tsk wala." I heavily sighed in defeat.

"Once again, Mikaella wins! Ha! In your face!" Then she stuck her tongue out. Parang bata.

Di ko nalang pinansin. Isip-bata minsan— oh wait, always.

We were already in this subdivision when I looked out the window. Hmm, parang peaceful naman. Minutes later, the car stopped in front of one of the houses.

"We're here!" Mom happily anounced.

Bumaba kami ng kotse. We were immmediately welcomed by mom's classmate, Aunt Kat, if I'm correct. I don't mean to be rude pero I'm kind of bored. So I just stayed at the back while mom's introducing us to the family.

"Uy, Kat, are these your daughters na? Woooow! Ang gaganda naman nila!"

"Of course naman, Seth! Manang-mana sa mommy eh, hahaha!"

"Ganyan talaga! At siyempre meron din akong mga sarili kong anak, eto na sila! Ito si Mik."

"Yan si Mik, Mikaella-ngang gawin sa mukha para di makick-out palabas dito!" I whispered to her. Hah! Her face! She's so mad, she just forced herself to smile in front of everybody.

"Hello po!" Psh. Soo happy on the outside but wanting to kill me on the inside. I smirked on the thought.

"At ito naman," mom pointed me, "ay si Miyo."

I was only supposed to nod until ate Mik pushed me hard on the back, telling me that I should go to aunt and that I forgot my manners. Nilakihan ko siya ng mata. I'll remind myself to kill her later.

"Yann, Yhel, dito nga kayo ba't kayo nagtatago dyan?" I heard aunt call err, two girls at the back?

When they arrived, oh sht they're pretty.

"Pretty are they?" She wiggled her eyebrows. Inaasar lang ako nito ni ate eh.

I didn't notice that I was the only one still standing near the door until someone approached me.

"Um, hi there! Ako pala si Yhel, Yhel Kylille Chiong. Ikaw, anong name mo?"

I was stunned by her presence na di ko namalayam na kinausap na pala niya ako. Oh shoot, natulala ako! Okay, keep your cool, I said to myself.

"Hello?? Come on, don't leave me hanging here, sheesh," She said.

"Aah, ah? Ay, Skye Miyo Go." I said as bored as I can with matching face. Di ko rin pinansin ang kamay niya for a handshake kahit labag sa kalooban ko. Darn it.

"Wow, ganda naman ng name mo, cute at bagay sa iyo."

Okay now she's complimenting me? But before I could say 'thanks', may naisip akong banat.

"K." I replied shortly.

"Ay? Tipid mo namang sumagot dya—"

"Sabihin mo nalang kasi nang deretcho na nagwagwapuhan ka sa akin, 'wag ng idaan sa pangalan ko," I cut her off plus gave her a grin.

"What?! Hahaha nagpapatawa ka ba? Ang benta kasi hahahahaha!"

Say what now? Though I kind of expected that.

Bigla ring lumapit ang kanyang kapatid, hmm, Yann. They we're talking about epal things until Yhel? Yeah I think that's the name, faced me again.

"Oh and by the way, pakispell naman ng 'yabang'."

Huh? Di ko nakuha so I just spelled it.

"Y-A—"

"Wrong! The correct answer is: IKAW! My gosh," and she walked out.

What the?! Tsk, pabayaan na nga. There's something in her. Something wrong, actually.

"Really dude? Alright! I'll see you soon!"

"K, bro, I better hang up, girlfriend's itching to pull me away from this phone!"

"Woah wait, who's the new girl?" I was curious.

"It's Terri, remember her? She's the one who kept pestering me after basketball championships 3 months ago. Dude she's hot!"

"Yeah, I can see from your voice. And yeah, gotta hang up now too, goodluck with your girl." And I ended the call. I just don't want to talk about love stuff. Makes me sick.

Kausap ko ang isa sa mga kaibigan ko sa Canada, si Kieff. Sabi niya he'll try to visit me here in the country sometime within the year. Naisip kong tawagin siya 'cause I'm dying here. Wala akong kausap. They're all busy talking about the pool party mom planned for a bunch of people. And when I say a bunch, I mean a whole horde of 'em.

I was busy with my phone until Yhel screamed and the others laughed. I didn't bother asking what that was about. I won't understand them anyway. Talk about being the only guy here. Out of place. The feeling.

I tried looking at her face. I didn't get the chance to observe earlier. Hah. Observe.

Hmm... cute ang mga mata niya, chinita actually, matangos ang ilong, not-too-cheeky cheeks, and her lips...hala! Tago!

I immediately looked at my phone tapos ni-swipe-swipe ito. She almost caught me stealing glances at her.

Nang nilingon ko siya uli, whew! Di nahalata.

Now where was I? Oh yeah. Her lips, I think I—

"Miyo, come one! We gotta go," lumabas na sina mama.

I guess it would just have to wait.
