Silent Hearts and Unexpected Awakenings

"Hi" Camryn says as she gets into Kadens car.

"Hey. Where's Jam-"

"He's coming. He's no going to be long."

Silence.

"SORRY! SORRY!" James shouts as he's running to Kaden's car.

"You're fine."

"We're going to an arcade by the way."

"The arcade? I haven't been there since I was 13." Camryn says.

"'Kay now I'm excited. I-I mean I was before i was but now-"

"Yea, I know what you mean, James." Kaden chuckles. "You guys ready to go?"

"Yeah." James and Camryn say in unison.

Kaden smiles.

"Oh my god. Wait, why do I feel like I did when I was a kid. Like I'm actually excited." Camryn says as they pull up to the arcade.

Kaden chuckles.

"Oh hold on!" Kaden quickly says as he gets out of the car.

He runs over to Camryn and James side and then opens their door.

"Uhh..thanks." James says.

They walk into the arcade and it's just like how it was when they were kids... except there was more games now.

"You guys wanna go bowling?" James ask.

"Sure." Cam says.

"Okay okay your turn James". Camryn says giggling from a joke James told earlier.

The date has been going well they've been telling jokes, getting to know each other more and just having a good time.

Kaden was really nervous until he heard Camryn laugh for the first time. I was like hearing a baby say their first word. At first you're surprised but then soon after you're filled with happiness and can't help but smile.

"STRRRRIKEEEE!" James shouts. He won. Camryn rolls her eyes.

"Wait what?" Kaden says. "Literally how?!"

"What can I say I'm just that good." James says smirking.

"Nahh, bro you cheated. You've got to have cheated."

"He definitely did." Camryn adds.

"I didn't." James protest. "I didn't know I was surrounding myself with such SORE LOSERS."

James chuckles.

"I'm going to the bathroom." Kaden says.

"Oh- wait I actually have to go too. See ya Cam."

"This is fun." James says to Kaden while washing their hands.

"Yea..." Kaden says smiling.

James looks at him. He seems genuinely happy. James smiles.

"Cam's having fun too it's just...she's..shy." James says to assure Kaden.

Kaden looks at him self in the bathroom mirror. He fixes his hair, admiring himself.

"Well come on" James says. "We should probably get back out to Camryn she's probably upset we left her so long."

"Uhh..yea, yea l-let's go" Kaden says.

"Hey!" James shouts to Camryn as they're walking back to their lane.
