2 Weeks Later
I am surprisingly happier with the new schedule. No muzzles, not a whole lot of harassment, and they aren't as rude as they used to be. I don't have a clue what made them change their minds about me on my 18th birthday. They told me that they had some huge news for me, but they couldn't tell me just yet. It kind of pissed me off, like why would you tell me that there's something going on, but you can't tell me what?! AGH!!!!
I walk over to my laptop and phone were I had them charging last night and turn my phone on. There were a few notifications from the games or whatever on the phone but nothing super important, nothing like the news, weather, or anything that I might want to be thinking about.
I unlocked the phone and immediately loaded up a music playing app called Pandora, then played on a station. It was mostly what they call rock music and I thought it sounded pretty cool considering I'm dead and they talk about me a lot. Ha. I heard this one dude called Rob Zombie, I immediately told Mark about it and he just laughed, telling me it was only a stage name. I shrugged it off but it was still in the back of my mind.
I let Pandora play and then texted Mark.
Me: Hey, I'm bored. You should let me do something fun. Like, with a person. I'm kinda lonely.
Mark: Eh, too bad. You know that's not how it works.
Me: Pls
Mark: No.
Me: Pls pls pls pls pls
Mark: Fine. It's not going to be anyone that you don't know it will be me or Emilia. Okay?
Me: YES!!!!!
I turned my phone off and then got on the computer, playing Pacman. It's like, my favorite game in the world. Even though its like, 2065 and this game is 85 years old. Eh, oh well. I still love it.
I waited in the room for what seemed like forever, but it wasn't that long apparently. Mark walked in with Emilia right beside him and decided to smile. Actually smile. Wow.
"I lied, it's going to be me and Emilia," Mark told me.
I smiled. "Sounds fine to me."
"So, what are you wanting to play, Connie?" Emilia asks me, walking over to the other room and grabbing a chair.
"I don't know, something fun." I smirked.
Mark grabbed a bag I didn't notice before from up off the floor and unzipped it. He slid it to me.
"Pick something out of there, your choice and we will play it." He followed Emilia and grabbed a chair and a small foldable table.
I searched through the bag. It had Monopoly, a stack of regular cards, Uno cards, and it had a Life game. I pulled out my favorite, the one game that I know will piss Mark off. Uno.
I closed up the bag after removing the stack of Uno cards. This game would be a game of pain and suffering for Mark, I knew I had to make it that way.
Mark set the chair down and looked at the grin spread across my face then down to the pack of Uno cards in my hand.
"You've got to be kidding me." Mark rolls his eyes before continuing, "challenge accepted."
-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-_-
"This isn't fair you asshole!" I yell as I draw 4 cards thanks to Mark.
Mark laughs, "I thought you knew by now you can't beat the king of Uno." He says as Emilia changes the color from a red 5 to blue 5.
He looks at his cards for less than 2 seconds before quickly putting down a blue 7. I react just as fast with a yellow 7. The only colors I have right now are green and yellow, and it's not looking to good for me considering Mark has 2 cards and Emilia has 5. I have 9.
As I predicted, Mark finished the game off for us and I was in last. Ugh, some games irk my nerves so bad! It was fun, though.
They stay for a while longer and we just have random conversations, it feels nice. I really missed this, not that I remember it too well with my old family but it still feels nice. I wish that this would last longer but I know it won't.
And I'm right.
A few minutes later they have a conference and they decide to come back later, supposedly they enjoyed their visit. I hope they did, because I know I enjoyed it. I really missed the interactions with other people. Or any other life force, since I have been locked in a cage for quite a few years not meeting anybody.
I, of course, stayed in my room on the computer looking up random things. The next thing I would think about doing, well asking Mark first, is trying an online school. I never did get to finish and honestly when I'm in the room with Mark or Emilia I feel like the dumbest person ever. I mean, they are just so smart and I didn't even get to go to high school. Hopefully Mark will at least let me try it.
It took me about 30 minutes before I got a little bored researching about the schools. I played pacman for like the rest of the day until I was sleepy, well, as sleepy as an undead creature gets.
I walked to my bed, crawling in it and looking straight up at the ceiling. I waited for undead-sleep to consume me and it soon did.
Short chapter but about time I updated it! lemme know how's it going. (Don't worry my Bunnies, it's going to get better, gotta not rush into things lol :) <3)
