Napatingin ako sa speaker na nag-announce, or should I say jingle-like announcement. Nagpaalam na ako sa kanila. Kuya Lyro already leave, kanina pa.
They said that the University set a reminder to students for their next class 20 minutes before class and another one before the last ten minutes of break.
Tumingin ako sa schedule card ko at sa sign ng room. Nagpabalik balik ang tingin ko sa card at sign.
Music Class 101, Room 001
When I was certain that it was there, kumatok ako before opening it. Kunti pa lang naman ang tao dito. I seated to the farthest in the back.
"I believe that we have a transferee joining us from now on, can you please stand up and introduce yourself?" Tawag pansin sa akin ng Prof namin na lalaki kaya tumayo ako and bowed 45 degrees.
"Pleased to meet you all, Lyricx Velasco is the name." Napabaling muli ang tingin sa akin ng Prof bago ngumiti. "The daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Velasco, right?" I automatically nodded my head. I heard my block mates gasp. Oh, Kalma, it's just ako. "I'm your professor in Music Class, Prof Ken. Kenafor Lim.
Pakilala niya kaya tumango naman ako dito, sumenyas ito na maaari na akong mag-sit.
Kumunot noo ko, should I motion for him to start? I pokefaced.
Nagsimula naman siya sa discussion, at wala na akong magawa kundi makinig. Super late na ako sa curicculum dito sa University na this.
"Miss?" I looked at the person beside me, she calling for me? I looked at her with my expression saying why.
"My name is Fionna Olivia Dela Paz, you are?" Hays. Of course, I'll say my name again for formality.
"Lyricx Velasco, transferee." Although I know na alam na niya what's my name.
"I can sense your great potential, girl. Daughter of the great icons ba naman. She whispered then chuckle. I didn't react kasi I don't want to let them know I hate music.
It seems like attracting them makes them curious about me
And I hated it!
Damn it.
Lalo na 'yong band na Lost Sympathy? ah, whatever, I can sense na something mali with them.
Short story short, I lost focus on the discussion. Why?
"Girl, what do you feel na kapatid mo si Lyro Soundrix?"
"Just fine."
"How about your parents reigning the music industry?"
"Just good."
"What do you feel now that you're studying here at SHU?"
"Just so-so."
"Are you okay with me if I court your brother?"
"Go, just do it."

Natapos ang question-answer session namin kasabay nang end ng lesson ni Prof. Ken. I sighed, so much for my first day at class. Ginagawa niya pang condenser microphone ang pen niya when she's waiting for my answer.
"May I look at your class schedule?" Napatingin naman ako sa kaniya before getting mine at inilapag ko sa kamay niya na nakalapag.
While she was scanning it. Umikot ang paningin ko sa mga student na nag-tatayuan na. They look at this part which made me smile at them a little bit, nibabalik naman nila ang ngiti na I'm giving them.
"We're the same class, yey!' Tuwang sabi nito na napayapos pa sa body ko. "Aside from the Homeroom uh?" Naguguluhan niyang sabi ngunit hindi niya na pinansin or tinanong pa. She returned my card schedule to me as she was done checking it out.
"Chill, dude." Natatawa kong Turan.
Ngumuso ito bago kinuha na din and gamit niya bago tumayo. She hugged my right hand before we go outside the room, we were on the second floor since we were first years.
She just declare to me that we're friends already, wala ba siyang friends? Well totally not, halos lahat na nga lang i-greet niya kanina eh, even those who passed by.
"Are you going home?"
"Yes?" Taka kong sabi, where should I go pa ba?
Ngumiti naman ito ng malaki sa akin.
"Let's go eat!" bumuntong hininga muna ako bago ngumiti.
"Alright."
"That's not the transportation way." Puna ni Fionna nang mapansin na papunta ako sa kaliwa. It's where my car is?
"Why are we commuting?" Tanong ko dito.
"Girl, do you want to walk?" I tilted my head no'ng tinanong niya ako pabalik.
"Why would I walk?"
Kunot noo kong sagot na pa-question. Where is this converation heading to?
"Well we can walk, but why?" Tanong niya muli.
"What 'Why?'"
"No, shouldn't we still head there?" turo niya sa exit.
"No, why should we?" Tinuro ko din ang parking.
"May sundo ka ba?"
"None. Bakit susunduin ba ako?"
Nagtatanongan na lang kami dito.
"Huh?"
"Huh?" I also got confused na.
Napahawak ako sa temple ko.
"We're going to the parking lot."
"Huh, Why? Wala ka naman sundo?"
I frustratingly get my car keys from my bag.
I swing it around in front of her. She looks at my face before the keys.
"What's that for?"
Susi ng kinabukasan mo.
