You were so tired tonight, you just wanted to slump on the sofa, binge random unsolved murders and stuff your face with pom bears (I really hope some of you know what they are). But, that was until your friend invited you to a party, and before you could protest she mentioned that Hoseok was going too, and well…anything to see your crush.
You were already nervous on the way there, your hands clammy as they gripped the steering wheel and your heart pounding against your ribcage, so nervous that you almost ran into the back of another car when parking up. That was what he did to you. He was so sociable and bubbly and had the most contagious laugh and smile, but his beauty was so intimidating and unreal that you almost felt like you had to bow down every time he passed you by.
Walking through the door, there weren’t as many people as you thought there’d be, no crowds, which filled you with anxiety, because where were you supposed to slink away to if you embarrassed yourself in front of your future husband?
"Y/n!" your friend, Lisa, quickly jogged up to your figure nervously hunched by the front door. "What are you doing? Come in," she chuckled, pulling you by your hand into the kitchen. "Let’s get a couple of shots, calm your butterflies down," she smiled knowingly, raising a brow.
"Just a beer will do, I’m driving, remember?"
Lisa tutted. "You’re never going to get laid, you know that?"
"Yeah probably. By the way you said this was a party," you whispered angrily at her, "where the hell is everyone?"
"You would’ve said no if it was a smaller gathering, I know what you’re like."
"That’s not true–"
She pursed her lips at you.
"Well I would’ve thought twice about it, at least," you mumbled, making Lisa snicker in triumph.
Popping a cap off a beer bottle, you huffed and followed your friend into the living room, already stalling at the sight of a god sitting in a single seater. Damn he looks good.
"Hey, y/n’s here!"
You snapped out of your lovestruck gaze, looking for the source of the voice, seeing Jimin raising his beer in the air towards you, his other arm around Donghyuk’s shoulders. A chorus of ‘hey’s followed as you greeted everyone, your voice a little shaky when Hoseok says hello to you with that dimpled smile and bright eyes. There couldn’t have been more than seven people, the other two that were there, Jungkook and Jisoo, were sitting very close together, presumably flirting, his arm around her slender figure. You didn’t know them personally but knew about them from school gossip, friends with benefits type of deal going on. There was an easy atmosphere surrounding everyone whose cheeks were already a flushed pink. Everyone except Hoseok, there was an unknown glint in his eyes as he scanned everyone else, rolling his drink between his palms.
"Right, truth or dare!" Lisa shouted, ushering you to sit next to her on another two seater sofa.
"Y/n’s only just got here, Lisa," Jungkook chuckled, letting Jisoo play with the rings on his tattooed fingers.
"Hush!" your sassy friend answered back. "I was waiting for them to come for this anyway."
"Oh?" you raised your eyebrows at the scheming girl, "well now I’m nervous."
Chuckles sounded around the small group of friends.
"Don’t worry, we’ll go easy on you, y/n," the caramel voiced Hoseok said, winking at you– WINKING AT YOU?!
"Thanks," you giggled, hoping to all things good that you didn’t sound cringey.
A few truths and dares were passed around, most of them just silly and tame, the most scandalous one being Jisoo dared to give Jungkook a lap dance to baby shark. That had everyone in tears, you all needed a good five minutes to recover. While still fanning your face after that hard bout of laughter, the game moved along, and you were surprised to hear Hoseok calling your name.
