Chapter six

Charlotte P.O.V

Words can not express how much I love Liam right now. I really thought he would sell me out to them. 

"What?" Zach asked narrowing his eyes. "She got bullied at school, she never told me so I couldn't do anything about it, till a week before they got in an accident and, she finally told me." Liam explained. Zach didn't look totally convinced but he hasn't said anything so, that's good enough for me.

Zach P.O.V

I didn't believe them one bit. Even if she was bullied, which I doubt, that wouldn't explain all the other things. Like her eating habits, her being fine with what the boys said about her and, her fear. It doesn't make sense.

So I decided to push it. I told them they may leave, but as they were about to open to door I said one last thing. 

"I'll make a doctor appointment for the two of you tomorrow to check for any damages." They both tureens back around and looked at me with wide eyes. Knew it.

"That's really not necessary." Charlotte tried but I stopped her. "Yes it is, you too lied and said she fell down the stairs, how do we know you're not lying now?" I questioned raising my eyebrows. "And what better way to check then by a doctor." I said as I sat down at my desk.

I noticed how uneasy they looked so I caved a little. "If it makes you feel better we could have Will do it, he's a doctor." They both nodded then left.

Charlotte P.O.V

The rest of the day went by quickly. I went to my room until dinner, then went down, ate, got yelled at for not eating enough, and left. It was now 9 and I was getting ready for bed. I quickly showered and washed my hair, brushed my teeth and, hair. Just as I was about to wash my face I heard my phone ring. I answered it and out it on speaker while washing my face,

"Hey!"

I heard Tristan say. "Hi! I'm guessing you want to know what I'm doing in California?" I asked. "Yep, now spill." I told him everything, and everything that's happened since I got here. "Ok when I meet those jerks I'll kick them in the balls for you. I know you'd never do it in your own." I laughed at his threat. "Wait what part of California  are you in?" I hadn't checked yet so I searched it up.

"Beverly Hill, why?" I heard Tristan scream. "Are you stupid? I live in Beverly Hills!" Then it hit me. God I was dumb. How could I forgot my best friend lived in the same state I just moved to?! I would finally get ti see him again.

So basically I met him in 1st grade and we immediately clicked. We've been friends ever since. Then two years ago his parents got a job offer and forced him to move. It was awful, it was like I lost the only barrier I had between me and the abuse.

"Oh my gosh." I mumbled. "What's you address? I'm coming tomorrow." He stated. I gave him my address and went to bed with a smile on my face.

I woke up in the middle of the night. I looked at my clock and it read 4:22. I looked around for what caused me to wake up. 

Then I heard it. Liam's screaming. I ran as fast as I could over to his room. I barged in and saw my eldest brothers already standing around him with guns out. They tried to put them away before I saw them but it was no use, I did. I turned around and saw my younger brothers following behind me. 

I walked over to Liam and put his head in my lap stroking his hair. "Liam! Liam!" I screamed trying to pull him out of this awful nightmare.

"Not her! Please not her! Take me instead!" He screamed. "Le!" I screamed so loud the neighbors probably  heard. Finally his eyes shot open and he sat up. He latched onto me and pulled me in a hug.

We sat there for a few minutes, hugging while our brothers stared us down. Eventually Zach cleared his through and all eyes went to him.

"Sorry to interrupt the moment here, but what the hell was that?" Zach asked in a very calm, but deadly tone. "Nothing just a silly nightmare." Liam answered letting go of me and looking at our brothers.

"That was no bloody nightmare, you were screaming your head off!" Luke shouted. Liam halted at Luke a little before I continuing, "Sorry to wake you up, but really it's nothing." I could see practically all of them rolling their eyes at this. Suddenly I felt someone's eyes on me. "What the hell is that?" Logan yelled. I looked down to where he was looking at and "brat" which  my step-father carved into my stomach. 

I just looked at it trying to make up a lie but it was no use. I just looked at Zach not giving them an answer. "Everyone expect Will and Logan out." He said in a deadly tone. "But-" Theodore tried to argue "NOW." He left after glaring at Zach. "So now you're going to explain and tell me the truth not some stupid lie." I sighed, after I tell them about the abuse, they won't want us anymore, they'll think we're everything they thought we were.

"We were abused" Liam said quickly

I glared at him, before plucking up the courage and looking at  Zach, which was a bad idea. He looked pissed to say the least. "By whom?" He growled out. This time I surprised myself by answering. "Our step-father and mother." I could practically see the anger radiating off of the three of them.

"Wait it just physical or..." William trailed off, neither me or William answered the question, which I think was an answer it's self. Just then our other siblings burst through the door. I wasn't stupid, I knew they were standing outside listening. Zach didn't say anything and continued to talk to us. "Can you show us?" He asked softly. I could tell my sibling were surprised he used this tone. I shook my head aggressively and scooted away.

Zach turned to Liam in a silent question asking if he could check him. He shook his head too. "There's nothing on me, I haven't been beat in weeks, it was mostly Char." They looked back at me. Zach nodded to Luke, Logan, Theodore  and, Matthew as  they walked over to me. I figured out what they were doing too late when they each grabbed an arm or leg. I screamed and squirmed, but nothing worked, they held onto me while Will and Zach checked me. They said a number of curse words while looking at me. When they were done the boys finally let go of me and I cuddled up next to Liam.

"I swear I'm gonna kill that idiot." Lucas muttered. "They're already dead moron, that's how we got custody." Theodore yelled. "Yeah well they're gonna be deader." I giggled at this causing all heads to snap towards me and give me a light smile. I could even see amusement in Theodore and Luke's eyes.

"Well we should all go back to bed." William said leading everyone out. Zach and Logan stayed with me and Liam till the rest filed out. "I swear no one will ever touch you again." Zach said with sincerity in his words and love in his eyes. I smiled at him and he kissed me on the forehead before leaving. Logan  walked up and kissed my temples, "Goodnight Princess" he whispered before leaving. "Night Liam." Both of the called out before I finally leaving. I decided to stay with Liam tonight. 

"I think you're the favorite." He mumbled into my hair. "Yeah well!" I said cutely making him laugh.

"Night Char."

"Goodnight Lee."
